Annabeth nodded slightly at Percy’s words. Yes, she remembered their first quest quite well, when all three Furies had followed them on a bus. Yeah, that had been good times, in the most sarcastic of ways. Okay, so bus was out. Train would certainly be interesting. Since she had been studying in New York and LA was a bit far for a train, she hadn’t been on a train in a long time. That is, unless city trams counted. Probably not.
The fact that Nick agreed on this made things so much easier. She’d heard the horror stories of when Thalia was at Camp and had severely hoped this would not prove to be a repeat of that. So far so good. Then again, they hadn’t even left camp entirely yet. Nick did have a point though: considering how tall he was, they would need a decent sized compartment to all fit comfortably. But on the bright side, hopefully they’d run into less trouble this way, as traveling with two sons of the big three had to be putting out the biggest demigod signals since two years ago.
As they made their way down the hill, Argus came in plain sight, standing there, covered in eyes, waiting next to a white SUV, impatiently jingling the keys. Annabeth pulled her bag off her shoulder so she could hold it in her lap, then slid all the way across the back seat and set to the task of buckling herself in.
