Reena Darrington [♥] Night starry skies. There was about three stars beginning to glow through another day which was slowly dying away from everyone. Wind wasn’t that strong or cold, about 20 - 40 wind breeze, making it very manageable due to the warm weather, which have hit the camp recently. The ripples in the lake was appearing and disappearing again. Different animals were seen drinking, hunting and even swimming in the lake. Many of the creatures which were folk law, myths and legends which seem to appear only in story books and were also quite amazing also. You sometimes have to open your heart and learn, feel and believe that these creatures were real in front of you. As like people they have feelings which can hurt or even anger them, so caution had too be taken when you were around these creatures.
[♥] Reena wasn’t like that. After the five long hard years she have spend at camp, she enjoyed it. The people were friendly, well expect the high spirited of Ares cabin. Of course Reena taught one or two of them a lesson who two, and was friendly with some of them now. As she walked towards the lake, her blonde straight hair flow against the breeze. She do missed and longed from company for while now, but then again, she likes to have some piece and quiet. Soon she came to the edge and she played with the water. Being twenty she was too old too do this kind of thing, but being playful, loyal and hyper sometimes she loved being a big kid. A side which she have keep hidden, while training in-experienced campers. Learning towards the water, she stares at her reflection, checking herself over after the last battle with Rion have inflicted on her. Knowing training with swords was difficult and highly dangerous, she expected some cuts and bruises.
[♥] Looking at the reflection from the watery ripples, she saw her left eye was beginning to bruise. Reena wasn’t happy with this as she hated having injuries on her face as they were difficult to cover up. Light green mark slowly turning black was appearing right underside her left eye lid. Slowly she brought her hand up and began to press on the mark, and it stung like mad. Yeap it’s a bruise. Which isn’t that bad I suppose she smiled too herself in the water. Deciding to have a short swim in the lake, since there was no-one around, she slowly took her shirt off. The sword slice mark on her right side was still very sore. The wound it self was inflamed and the skin was red and VERY tender, making bending around or swipe kicking or sword fighting very painful and impossible too do right now. Maybe the water would cool it down for me
. Deciding to give it try she jumped into the lake, and began to swim about a five meters from the shore-lines. Just in case she needed to get out in a hurry. [♥] Reena felt more relax as her wound was calming down and she was unable to feel the pain anymore. Only this time she wanted to get out now. Swimming towards the edge, she caught her wound against the rocks, and she re-opened it and began to bled again. DARMIT! She yelled out, hoping no-one would heard her. Grabbing one of her old shirts, she ripped it up and wrapped it around the cut, to stop the blood flow and help it clot better and quicker. Deciding to stop and sit for while, seeing the other campers must be sleeping now as it hit the curfew time now. She slowly open her mouth and began to sing, this another talent she kept hidden now. Looking around for a second time, she began to sing her favourite song, which her step-mother sang to her when she was a little kid. Before she found out she problems in school and before her life changed forever. [♥] In the dark cold winter road My vision is blocked by the snow All I can see is white and ice Why can’t see you now My heart is breaking hard without you here Soon enough the cold is to strong No more dreams or steps But a voice comes alone
‘Never give up on your dreams Keep on going and I would be here Holding you when everyone else have left you alone’ [♥] Suddenly a crack was heard and Reena stopped her singing. Thinking it could be someone spying on her. She was unable to get up quickly, due to her injury bleeding still, so she was like a sitting duck. Heart was racing, as she was scared that it couldn’t be something else. Slowly two Pegasus horses came out of they hiding spots, seeing there was no danger and was also drawn to the music from Reena. Her heart began to calm down, seeing it was nothing more than two winged horses and she began to laugh too herself.. Slowly she began to get back to her singing, showing her true voice now, which was high and in tune. The lyrics of the song was beautiful and her body language moved with it as she was feeling song. Showing how much she really miss her family even though she haven’t been with them since she ran away from that boarding school at twelve. [♥] Dreams would show me the road to lead me home Dreams will keep me holding strong Dreams would let the waves carry me home Back home where I really belong
Finally the white blanket have gone, The greenly pastures are now here You weren’t around and still I waited Four days have pass and you have come My heart finally broken down again as you broke my promise Hurting very much, and I finally collapsed waiting for die But I hear another voice.
‘pull yourself together Your dreams is what you need to hold strong Keep you friends together They are the key to keep safe’ [♥] Unable too carry on with the song anymore, Reena placed her head in knees, crying hard. I miss you guys so much, I am hoping you are all well and safe. One day I would be back and I wouldn’t let you go again. She sniffed couple of times and wiped her tears again. Reena haven’t cried since she came to camp, so it was way over due and was glad there was no one around. As she wanted to be strong for them and not considered a weakling right now. Slowly she wiped her tears, and getting up to leave the lake, so she can get back to her cabin and have lie down. Which she really wanted. Even though she was keeping lot hidden in her chest and was screaming too be let out, but was refusing to let it too. This was the reason why she didn’t move fast enough during the training session with Rion. This had to be sorted out now, before she gets badly injured or worst killed. Ryan didn't mind water that much. It was cooling and refreshing, not that he ever really learned how to swim properly or anything, but still. He was headed down to the lake but he had no idea why. Everywhere else there seemed to be people. He hoped no one was down here now. Forest was okay, but he just didn't feel like going there and having the prospect of being attacked in the dark. He needed somewhere calm where no one would attack him right now. He had no idea why he didn't want to be attacked. Usually, he was looking for a fight, but right now, he really wasn't in the mood.
He continued down to the lake and saw another person getting up. He rolled his eyes. There was the evaporation of the prospect of being alone. The longing to fight again surged into him as his ADHD kicked up. Sometimes he hated that, along with his spikes of adrenaline, it sometimes made him sort of crazy. He half glared at her as he continued down to the lake. In that way he was stubborn. No matter what stood in the way of his plans, he was going to execute them. No matter what it took. He had an idea, he was going to finish it out, no matter what.

Reena Darrington [♥] Still playing with the water with her hand she smiled. Making the ripples were amazing as Reena was fasticated with this. Still her wound haven’t healed. Well for the fact she haven’t been resting for much for it too heal. Her eyes weren’t happy anymore as they were used to bee, they were now filled with pain, sadness and sorrow. She regents now for going to that quest. If she listened too the other campers , maybe her friends would be alive now. Sitting on the edge, she kicked the water and cried the same time. Well she was alone for the fact so she didn’t have to worry now.
[♥] Suddenly she spotted a young boy. Well she was twenty and the boy looked like fifteen anyway. She slowly reached to straightened her shirt and she gritted her teeth as she was in pain more than ever. Hello there. May I help you? She asked the boy. She hoped he didn’t want training as she was in no shape too practise sparing with him now. Listen if you came too me for teaching, then I am sorry I am unable too do it. You have to find another mentor. She told him as she slowly got up, holding her side and leaned against the tree, gritting her teeth like mad and keeping her eyes closed. Hoping the pain would leave her alone, about forty minutes it began to settle down and she felt a little better. Still wondering what this boy wanted from her. So she waited for his reply back.

Ryan just kept walking down, fully aware that there was another camper there. He didn't care, there was plenty of lake there for both of them to be there, wasn't there? He half rolled his eyes and started to move down the lake so there would be a few yards separation from him and the other camper. That was him, solitary and usually alone. Sometimes he did wish it wasn't like this. Sometimes he still wished he had Edmund or Alex back. But that wasn't going to happen. Edmund was dead, and it was Ryan's fault. Ryan's stomach lurched slightly and he felt lightheaded. Then there was Alex, he had moved without saying anything to Ryan the day after Edmund died. Ryan never heard from them since.
He was still headed in the direction so that he could clear a space of at least a few yards between them when the other camper called over to him. It looked like a girl now that he could see her face and she looked a bit older than him. "Hi," he said indifferently. "No," he said shortly. He never needed help, help just made things worse, in his opinion. He glared at her. She was thinking that he was coming to her for mentoring? He snorted. "Whatever, I don't want to be mentored," he growled. He narrowed his eyes as she got up and needed a tree for support. Looked like she had damaged her side or something.

Reena Darrington [♥] Seeing the kid more now she was slightly getting pissed off. She wanted to spend some time alone. Too think on what too do next. This wasn’t going for while for right now. First getting struck by Rion and now running into a bad tempered kid. Reena couldn’t take this anymore. She felt her body was going too explored inside. Her side was hurting and she needed too get some rest. How long you going too be here? I need too know so I can bath my wound in the lake, and I don’t want too do it in front of you. She wasn’t being rude, she was simply telling the truth.
[♥] She couldn’t believe he was back chatting her when she was being really nice too him. Excuse me young sir. Unless you don’t want too get your ass whip or feel the dirt, I suggested you too stop it right now. I may be weak, but I can still take you down and whip your ass. She glared at him. She didn’t like the kid at all. She was getting herself ready for the challenge if he even thought he could take her on. Reena wouldn’t back down for anyone especially not for this kid anyway, slowly she swung her sword at hand, getting ready just incase he tired anything on her.

Ryan rolled his eyes darn these older campers. They thought they owned the place. The son of Ares though that anybody could be by the lake. There was enough lake for a few campers, not like one person there at a time. Sure, maybe he couldn't have the time alone, but he would really like her to shut up and make it like she owned the place. He was staying there and he didn't care what the girl said to him. He glared squarely at her. "As long as I'd like," he growled. "The lake just isn't here, smart," he sneered. "You could try going up or down river," he snarled at her. "I'll be glad to point you in the right direction if you can't see it," he said in mock politeness.
He rolled his eyes. Whatever, he had gotten beaten before. The girl here was easily much older than him but he didn't care. He wasn't moving just because she wanted him to. He was staying no matter what. Oh, so she admitted to being weak, his grey eyes scanned her, trying to find the wound she was telling him that she needed to wash. His eyes flicked and his body tensed slightly as she unsheathed her sword. Okay, now she was asking for it. "Fine, if that's what you're asking for," he snarled, taking out his own two swords. He was getting ticked at her now. Well, he was always ticked with everyone and the world in general, so no big deal. "You're on. Bring it."

Reena Darrington Daughter of Arête Reena didn’t like this lad much. She wasn’t been bossy or made herself like she owned the place, she was being serious. Come on she was a girl and he was boy. Shaking her head she just glared at him. Fine. It was no need too go all hostile about it. Christ some lad were a thing of seeing a girl half naked you know slowly she took her shirt off and you can see her wound and her right side was black, showing heavy bruising. Feeling the water hitting the wound it was wonderful. Why don’t you go down river. I mean I was here first anyway she was putting her feet down and refusing too be pushed around by this kid. He wasn’t worth her time or energy for the start.
Once her wound was bath and the pain left her body she put her shirt back on. Knowing he was watching her like a hawk, she crocked a eyebrow up. What do you think you are looking yet? Did your mother tell you not stare? She smirked back and looked at him. Her sword was fully ready in her hand, she swung it around her left hand, which was strange as she always held it in her right arm., but this time was different as she was injured on her right side and was too painful for her to hold her sword on that side.
You are so going too be sorry you challenged me lad. I tell you too back you down, before you get hurt she gave him the chance too back down. Seeing he had two swords she had too be careful now, as she could get hurt badly here. He have pushed the wrong buttons with Reena. Especially today was the wrong time. It was the day her friend, her lover were killed in front of her, and she was really mad now. Unlike ever before. Fine I give you the chance to walk away slowly she swipe her sword straight towards his legs, this was her strongest move in sword fighting, she was serious now. If he got cut then it was just his fault. Right now Reena didn’t care about him, he was a monster now and nothing else.

Ryan just glared at her as she returned the glare. He was staying there and that was final on his part. The son of Ares shrugged and rolled his eyes. He could find a reason if he really wanted to; he mostly wanted to, he was always hostile. Other people just needed to live with it and suck it up. "Whatever," he growled. He fixed his eyes on a tree and then his grey eyes flickered back to her. That was quite a wound. He remembered he had had a few of those. Not fun. He rolled his eyes. "You were the one who wanted your privacy and wanted to be alone in the first place," he snarled back at her.
He snorted and rolled his eyes. "Well, you could of moved," he growled, shrugging. He glared at her. Mother. "She never did," he growled. Full truth. She had died before he had even had the chance to know her. Unless she wasn't his mother.... stop it. On any basis, even if she wasn't his mother, his aunt had never told him not to stare. She had told him to observe your settings around you. Be happy they are being presented to you. Know where you stand. His eyes looked at her and the sword she was holding. Her right side was weak, if they did fight, that would help.
"No, I don't think I will be," Ryan snarled back. So what if he did loose? It would just make him better. The training and sparring that didn't kill you made you a better fighter and stronger. He had learned that a lot at his aunt's. "No," he snarled. No way was he backing down now. He glared at her. "I'm not backing away. Bring it," he growled. She swiped towards his legs, Ryan was already prepared if she attacked with out warning, he aimed one sword down to block the strike going to his legs and thrust his other at the older girl's right shoulder.

Reena Darrington Daughter of Arête Watching the younger boy carefully, she was studying his posture. Seeing the way he moved. Picking the right movement too take him down. Where his Achilles heal was, as everyone have got one. Even her, yes she was making herself one of those people who have got a Achilles. Making sure she didn’t give her weakness to him knowing it would be a huge mistake really lot. Also she wasn’t going too make that mistake again.
Watching him aiming for her right shoulder, she was careful. She slowly began to move but she was a slightly slow and began to feel the shape pain . Slowly her hand loosen it’s grip on her sword and began too fall down on the floor. Gritting her teeth as the pains slowly began to subside you little she didn’t finished her sentence as it was no need to. Slowly and being a little sneaky about it she got up and grabbed a small dagger, she made attack and used the small dagger towards his shoulder, didn’t care which one. Could be the left or the right, it anything which could bother him.
Is that all you got? Evil Spawn? She giggled and looked at him some more. Breathing laboured a little as her shoulder was bleeding, it was about a 3cm wide cut and was bleeding a little. It didn’t bother her, as much as her ribs one. Great another wound. That kid is so in trouble she glared at him evily and waited for his next movement. She wasn’t going too let him win, and that’s for sure.

Ryan felt like he was being looked over. Whatever, he was used to being analyzed and everything before a fight, it was like this before almost every fight he had gotten into. The opponents would look eachother, trying to determine each-other's weakness. The weakness on her right side was apparent as she was bathing that wound on her right, his grey eyes looked over her again to try and figure out anything else that he could use to his advantage. Ryan wasn't invincible, even though he was a son of Ares. He had been proved that he could be beat a lot, Reena could be no different. He could end up winning, or she could, whichever way it was, it was a fight. Practice.
His aim to her shoulder had worked as it cut her a bit, he smirked. Good, she started to lean downwards as if caving into the pain. He rolled his eyes. He could fill in plenty of words where she had left off. His aunt had used many unpleasant ones, so he could fill in the gap she had left empty easily. "Whatever," he growled, shrugging indifferently. She unsheathed a knife, so she was a sneaky fighter to, eh? Had weapons hidden, so did he. He tried to back up and try and block it with his sword, but it was much bigger than the dagger and the smaller knife hit into his left shoulder. He grimaced in pain and staggered to the left; Ryan was used to getting hit with sharp objects by now, but it didn't prevent it from still hurting like heck when he did get hit. Ryan half hoped that she'd just keep the knife lodged in his shoulder, if she yanked it out now, it'd hurt like Hades (it probably would when it got out anyway) and then there would be blood to deal with as well. His his arm began to burn and hurt. A lot. His grip on his left sword slackened slightly, but he forced himself to keep holding it.
The fifteen year old rolled his eyes and decided not to respond. He sheathed his right sword, flicked his right wrist and a disk slid into it. He took it and launched it at Reena's left side, hoping to distract her or something so he could get his bearings back. He wasn't down yet, nor did he plan to go down, but with a dagger wound in his shoulder, it wasn't looking to good. He still had his right hand to fight with and he was fine with that, but he also had to put up with all the pain that was going down his left side.

Reena Darrington She saw her attack worked and slowly the pain in her right shoulder have left her alone. Why was it always the right? She would never know this. Seeing her dagger was still in his shoulder she grabbed hold and pulled it out hard. She hated the kid but she didn’t want him to have infection. Not only he could die, she would be in trouble with Chiron and Mr D. those two she didn’t want to double cross right now. Planning her next attack in her mind she stared him down. Breathing heavy, the scarlet liquid was running down her shoulder, she was feeling light headed from the blood loss that’s for start.
Watching his movement very carefully, her dagger was in the her right hand too avoid him getting a clear shot of her wound. It wouldn’t matter as the bruising was so much, it was painful for a slight touch let alone, a strike from a sword. Trying her best she covered her right side and blocked his sword strike from her left area, exposing the black area, around her ribs area. The wound was sore and inflamed, but Reena was fighter, warrior and even a solider. Every solider gets hurt, that’s how they learn. But on the battlefield you would be dead if you make the same mistakes. Her body was weaken you can clearly see that, if she lose then it wouldn’t matter too her, win some, and you lose some. It’s part of sparring other campers from other god parents, testing they skills and learn from them. She wasn’t cocky or smart ass. But she was making some really stupid mistakes, cause today was the day her lover was murdered right in front of her eyes. This is why her heart and soul wasn’t into fighting at all. So she waited too see what Ryan would do not caring, if he hurt her more as right now, she felt she deserve it. Deserve the pain and her skin ripped into pieces, just like her lover was. Today he would have been twenty four, and Reena missed him deeply.

The girl's attacked worked and now Ryan had a dagger half lodged in his arm. He hoped she was happy now. Half of him really hoped that she'd just take it out now, it hurt like Hades. The other half said that he'd just have to deal with a lot of pain, plus blood if she yanked it out now. At least there was something in him keeping the blood from drenching him. He grimaced and saw starts. OW! So she decided to yank it out. Lovely, blood started going down his shoulder. He struggled to remember what his aunt said about blood loss. Loose to much and don't cover it up you die, great. So either he had to back down and go to the healing hut, or risk dying. He gave it two seconds mental thought, then decided to risk dying.
His right side was just a Hades of pain. It hurt like Heck. He was sure anything would if you stabbed it with a dagger. He tried to keep his sword up, but found he couldn't. His entire left arm was out. His transfered to his right and sheathed it. Now, he only had one sword and he couldn't let her get to his left or his right, he started to re think things and ignore the pain in his shoulder. This had happened to him before, with his aunt, and she had forced him to keep fighting, this would be no different. He started to circle to the right and then lunged at the girl's left side.

Reena Darrington Seeing him out of action was getting her happy. She felt her pulse racing like mad, her body was getting weak from the blood lost. She was beginning too feel sick, headache and sleepy. Really sleepy. Her body wanted too lie on the ground too sleep, fall right too sleep. She was fighting this urge, she didn’t want too sleep. Sleep now and you wouldn’t wake up.
Fighting, that was more than just a word. She hated fighting, what the earth is she doing. Fighting was for kids. She was a teacher, but right now she wasn’t being a teacher she was being a gangster now. So she threw the sword on the floor and about to walk away until she felt the sword hitting her left side. She screamed in pain and panted again. Stop, you trying too kill me? She felt more weak and sickling feeling again. Waiting for him to get the sword out of her sword, so the pain would leave a little. Not worrying right now with the blood loss.

Ryan staggered slightly, his whole left arm was on fire. Ow ow ow pretty much summed it up. He wondered how long he could go with all this blood loss until he blacked out. Probably five minutes, if he was lucky; it was more like three and a half. He began to feel dizzy and saw stars again. Come on, don't black out yet... a voice said inside his head. Fight it, the voice snapped at him. Gee, it sounded like his aunt. Sure, this had happened to him a few times while sparring with her, he got hit in the arm with a dagger. He struggled to remember how long he had managed to keep conscious. Ryan began to try fighting the dizziness and exhaustion that started to creep up his entire body.
He felt his aimed sword hit her somewhere, and heard her scream. Ryan didn't know where the sword landed. He hoped it was somewhere on her left side. That had been his plan, to get her out on both sides. He pulled out and staggered a few paces back, blood still running down his arm. Ryan felt sort of dizzy. He stabbed his sword into the ground to try and keep his balance. "Not exactly," he muttered, still trying to fight the dizziness. It was ping ponging back and forth. He would feel fine for a few seconds, then really dizzy the second. He took a cloth from out of his pouch and tried to tie up his left shoulder.

Reena Darrington the pain was beginning too burn more than ever now. Her breathing was normal just slightly fast, which would go away soon. Suddenly she felt the sword pressure out of her side and she wrapped her hand around the wound. Red liquid poured in-between her fingers. It felt warm and the sickness was getting a little better. Rushing towards her bag, she pulled three clothes which she ripped thin. Dipping two of them into the water, she winced as she pressed into her wound, so she didn’t bleed out anymore. Couple of more minute too an hour it stopped bleeding, and she was able to wrapped it with another cloth another wound which would put me out of action, just great she thought too herself.
Taking her shirt off a little she checked on her old wound which was finally healing. The bruising was settling down slowly, but it still killed like hell. Using a finger, she pressed on it gently and it made her jump a little, showing it was still tender. Forcing on the new fresh wound on her shoulder which wasn’t that deep, bled or hurted that much anymore. Seeing that she didn’t bother too bandage it up and just left it alone.
Slowly her eyes went too Ryan and she saw he was in trouble. Putting her feelings aside and she raced too his side. Stop fighting with me. I didn’t mean too hurt you this badly, that’s why I wanted too stop, but you wanted too carry on and on. Now I have too patched you up, unless you want to join the souls of the dead, in the underworld forever. She got too work anyway and started too apply pressure on his wound, didn’t care he fought her or not. She was going too do this and that’s final, no ifs, ands or buts. She was going too stop him from dying on her, no way she was going too kill another one, on this day of all days, at least.
