Looks::Aphrodite, being the Goddess of Love and Beauty, has a breathtaking effect on all beings: mortal, half-blood, and immortal. Though she has a distinct true form, her appearance seems to appeal to that of the person looking at her. She will look perfect in the eyes of the beholder. In short, she looks the most beautiful to the person looking at her.
But that part is mostly magical influence. Aphrodite has dark chocolate hair that falls down to about the first third of her back. She has grey eyes, tanned skin, and very distinct lined eyebrows. She usually dresses in very formal attire, like an evening gown or something a movie star would wear to the Oscars. She is very meticulous about makeup an though it looks very natural on her, she can often be seen putting it on to doll herself up even more.
Personality:: Aphrodite is a very vain individual. She is very obsessed with how she looks to others, though that pretty much comes with being the Goddess of Beauty. In addition, with being the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite is a sucker for drama and tragic love stories, being pretty much one herself. She loves the love stories written up, but even more she likes the real ones she can manipulate. Seeing two people fight and fall in love against all odds is in her eyes the greatest victory.
Despite being married off to Hephaestus, Aphrodite has had many love affairs, her favorite being the God of War, Ares. She has a great many children with both him, a few other Gods, as well as mortals whose Demi-God children had been sent off to Camp Half-Blood. She personally thought when her daughter became infatuated with the son of Hephaestus was quite funny and rather entertaining.

History::
Aphrodite was born from the sea and sea foam, washing upon shore in a scallop shell as an already adult and fully grown woman near Paphos, Cyprus. Most of her connection with the Olympian Gods family wise are connected through her Husband Hephaestus after she was given to him by Zeus, to keep her from starting a war between the Gods of who should have her. Aphrodite, of course, was unhappy with this arrangement despite making her beautiful jewelry and other , and has often committed adultery with many other Gods and mortals alike. She has many children, mostly with Ares, some with Hermes and Dionysis, and many other Demi-God children as well.
Aphrodite has been the spot of many tragic love stories, including being directly involved with the start of the Trojan War. Under decision of who would get the Golden Apple, Aphrodite offered Paris, the judge, the most beautiful woman in all of the world—Helen. History tells the rest of that story, and ten years of war followed. Of Aphrodite’s many children, one of them happened to be the Trojan Aeneas. When the Greeks stormed Troy, Aphrodite feared for her son and helped him escape with a few other Trojans before they could feel the wrath of the Greeks.
Another individual Aphrodite had a deep affection for was Adonis, and she acted as his surrogate mother and when he was old enough took him as her lover. Adonis’s mother was cursed and after being chased out of the city by her father, was taken pity upon by the Gods and turned into a tree. Next to the tree a small baby boy, Adonis, was left and Aphrodite took pity upon him, taking him down to Persephone so he can get proper care. When Adonis gets older, Aphrodite quarrels with Persephone as to who got to keep him. Zeus finally interrupts and decrees he’ll spend one third of the year with Persephone, another with Aphrodite, and the last with whomever he chooses, who of course turns out to be Aphrodite. While Aphrodite is not watching him, Adonis goes on a hunt and is fatally wounded, by one of Aphrodite’s Godly boyfriends disguised as a wild boar. Adonis was once again sent to the underworld where Aphrodite squabbled over him once more with Persephone. Zeus then decreed that Adonis would stay with Persephone for half of the year and Aphrodite the other half of the year.
Aphrodite always had her moments of vanity, being the Goddess of Love and Beauty. She quickly fell jealous of the mortal Psyche and ordered her son Eros to have her fall in love with the ugliest man on earth. Unfortunately Eros fell in love with Psyche. After Eros fled upon his discovery Psyche went to Aphrodite to seek her blessing, in which she ordered three impossible tasks upon Psyche, all of which were completed much to her disapproval and enragement. Eventually, however, she gave the two their blessing and they were eventually married.
Throughout centuries, Aphrodite has been the spot of many love stories, all real. Her most recent favorite one was between Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. During Annabeth’s kidnap, Aphrodite even paid a visit to Percy Jackson to make sure he kept focus on Annabeth being saved. On the day the two finally became a couple, Aphrodite immediately sought out a new favorite ‘Romeo and Juliet,’though she still has her sights set on those two Demi-Gods in particular and has a couple of special surprises up her sleeve.
