“Come one, Come all!” The voice echoed around the Amphitheatre like a microphone. ”Marvel at the power this teenager holds within her little hands!”
How the dead could always over dramatise everything, was something Celeste still hadn’t become a custom to, even after playing the puppeteer for most of her life. The worst of it was, Danny had gone back to his childish ghost form, so a kid under the age of 6 yelling out stuff that someone older would speak, would threaten his secret if he wasn’t careful. Luckily Celeste had called for two skeletons to stand beside her, Two that she trusted more than the rest. A General called Douglas MacArthur, (The same one who went to WW2, and if Celeste had paid attention in history, she would know who this guy was) and a Fencer called Aldo Nadi. Both hadn’t taken their eyes of the ghosts, nor the teenagers Celeste dealt with, knowing that someone could crack at any given time. Celeste’s energy was slowly deteriorating with all the distractions, and the fact she had two skeletons and a ghost, and not to mention the dead the person wanted to communicate with. “He is going to kill me when he finds out... But I can’t stop now, must get through the long line of people... Which had just doubled in size. Bloody Danny!” Celeste had allready helped 5 people in the last half an hour, and only a 10 min break to take a rest from the draining energy part. The sun's ray was bright enough to start to tan her skin, if she was wearing something that wasn't covering her whole body, thankfully the black dress did so.
“Let the Ghost Whisperer call for your lost loved ones.” Celeste smiled at the title, he had come up with the idea alot quicker than she would have guessed. The Ghost Boy, jumped from his little tree trunk and walked over to her, his face beaming with pride. Voices started to fill the air again, and Celeste shook her head at the small crowd he had just pulled up for her to fix, “Dan, I only wanted to help a few, not half of a bloody Cabin.” Celeste muttered, motioning a young girl forward to where she was sitting at a desk. Celeste had placed a few white candles on the candle, with a stack of papers and a full matchbox. All that would be needed to look like she was taking some effort to make the people feel better about the whole thing. Listening to the girl’s request, Celeste nodded her head, handing her the first bit of paper off the stack, telling the girl to write down the name of her best friend. It was pretty tempting to get rid of Danny now, but Celeste pushed the idea out of her head, as she lit the paper on fire using the candle.
Knowing this would start to kill her energy, Celeste concentrated on the fact she was going to help this girl be rid of the memory of her best friend, which was the only thing that made Celeste continue with the power draining ritual. It took a moment before the air thickened and a shimmering figure appeared beside the girl, not scaring her, which was a first. Celeste turned her attention away, telling the girl she had only a minute before she would have to take him back. Danny’s smug look was getting irritating, and both body guards had given him a death look when he pranced over to them, waving his hands like an innocent child. Most watched in amazement, and others in fear, but the tears that fell from the girl’s eyes made Celeste feel worse for doing it. A hand squeezed her should, reminding her of the time, and she sniffled before the girl said her farewell, tears streaming down her eyes. Celeste risked her reputation to hug the girl, long enough so the tears weren’t falling anymore, the only two words that came out of the young girl's lips, the only two words that made the summoning not a waste. “Thank you.”
