Adonia was walking around the camp. Yes, she was bored this morning with nothing to do. She had breakfast about forty-five minutes ago, yummy oatmeal, a very healthy breakfast to get your day on the right foot. Looking at the other kids running around with shields and swords. Sighing, Adonia immediately felt out of place because she has never really yielded a sword before. Biting her lip, she was approaching the arena, Should I go in? Hmm... Playing with her hands, Adonia stopped in the middle of her walking and looked at the arena doors. Yes, it would be nice to go in and learn something good just in case something happens in the forest again and she could defend herself. Also, it could be dangerous and she may actually hurt someone. Kicking her feet around, Adonia held her head up and decided to go in. Approaching the door, she had a funny knot in her stomach, not a bad feeling knot but also not a good one. Maybe Im just nervous. Yes, it is. Nodding her head as she thought the last sentence. Pulling on the heavy door with the cold knob, Adonia peeked inside. No one in there, thats great! Smiling, she walked down the stairs to the middle of the arena with the dummy standing in the middle of it. The dummy was kinda ugly looking as Adonia approached it, but then she had remembered that she didn't have a sword with her... she didn't even own one! Sighing again, Adonia looked around the arena. There must be some around here somewhere. She said walking and looking around. As she looked for about five minutes, Adonia had found one stashed under some piles of stuff. Feeling bad thinking it was someone else's sword, Adonia looked around and found a piece of paper and a small pencil and wrote a note saying that if someone came looking for the sword that Adonia Theodosia barrowed it. Leaving the note and feeling more satisfied for not stealing it, only barrowing, she moved towards the dummy. Wielding the sword forward, Adonia took a swipe at the dummy and lets face it... it was a pathetic swing. She looked way girly doing it. It was very embarrassing. I'll never learn to do this the correct way... I stink. She said to herself. [/blockquote]

Ryan was walking towards the arena. Not a big surprise. That was one of the only places he was seen walking towards. He hated going into his Cabin. His experience in the over crowded and crazy Hermes cabin had scarred him for life. While in the Hermes cabin, he developed the habit of just sleeping in the Cabin for a few hours then leaving to either go into the forest or train. Mostly train. The son of Ares wondered why he had never grown tired of it; he had been doing it for years. Perhaps it was a son of Ares thing, it was either do it or die at his aunt's house, or that if he didn't learn, he'd be monster chow in the future. It could be either of them, or a combination.
As he came to the entrance of the arena, he wondered if anyone was in there. Ryan didn't really care either way. If there was someone in there, he'd just ignore them... unless they talked to him first. He went through a mental weapon check, making sure he had everything before going in. When Kath first fitted him with all his weapons at once, Ryan thought she had been crazy. He looked sort of like a walking weapon shop! He had two swords, a staff, a dagger, then a pouch that held a sharpening stone, disk and spear heads, then he had other weapons hidden in his sleeves and shoes. He kept his bow and arrows on him. Even though he had decided to keep at it, he still thought he was sort of a lost cause with it. Besides, who in their right mind would teach him? He could teach himself, but he wasn't sure if it would be correct. All he had learned about archery in the two months he was taught, was how to hold the bow and arrow and shoot it. He didn't have any technique at all.
The son of Ares went into the arena and immediately saw another girl there, approaching a dummy. He ignored her and looked around to go to another dummy. A ruffled pile of things and a note caught his eye and then curiosity took over and he approached it. His dyslexia went crazy on him, as always, but he managed to read that Adonia Theodosia had borrowed their sword. He looked at the girl who had just taken a rather bad swipe at a dummy and his mind put two and two together. He was taking a guess that this girl with him was Adonia, unless Adonia had taken the sword then left the arena. He rolled his eyes and unsheathed both of his swords. The fifteen year old went over to a dummy and swung at it. One sword went to the leg and another was aimed at the shoulder. They both hit, their mark. The sword to the shoulder was a bit closer to the neck than Ryan wanted, but pretty much on target besides that.OOC: Hope that's alright.... Adonia huffed; the sword was a little heavy. But that is what she got for stealing… she means borrowing someone else’s sword. Swords needed to be fitted for the warrior or in this case, demi-god. There was a little bit of perspiration coming into play on her forehead. She rolled her eyes because she knew that she could do better than just one, stupid, pathetic swipe. Catching her breath, Adonia focused on the dummy. She remembered her mother saying to her when she tired out for softball a couple years ago, she said to picture the person you hate on the ball and swing. That’s what Adonia needed to do, she needed to picture someone’s face on that dummy… and it would be Cyrene’s face. Gods, she hated that girl… always calling her a chipmunk cheeks, hippie girl, and other sorts of names. Picturing the girl’s face on the dummy, Adonia could feel her blood started to rush, the adrenaline starting to pump through the small veins in her body. Without realizing it, she was rushing to the dummy, jumped in midair and swung the sword in a circle and around her body, making contact with its head. Land on two feet, Adonia panted in small breathes and wide eyes. She couldn’t believe what just happened, turning around to see that the dummy’s head was completely off! Wow… Adonia whispered to herself, but there was a noise that made her jump.
Looking around, Adonia didn’t see anyone. Of course, there were shadows in the arena and little light outside of its walls. She knew that there were footsteps, she could hear them. Adonia walked backwards carefully and stood behind the dummy, looking around. After a few seconds of scanning, there was a boy coming out of the shadows and heading straight for the other dummy sitting at the other end. Watching and observing, Adonia knew that it was a kid named Ryan. She remembered him sitting in this very room with Celeste, the daughter of Hades. They had done this weird thing where they brought up skeletons… yes, it was very freaky, so it was a good thing that Adonia had left them to do what they wanted because she would have been very freaked out and probably caught also.
Watching Ryan, she noticed that he was getting ready to attack, and once he did, she was awed by him. He had such smoothness and grace. It also seemed like he had been fighting with a sword for a long time… correction, he had two swords on him! Stepping out from behind the dummy, Adonia walked slowly three steps and stopped, Wow, that was amazing. She had said. Well, this kid, she thinks is the son of Ares. She remembered other kids talking about him throughout the camp, he wasn’t a nice fellow. Rude to be exact, so Adonia would need to watch what she says so she doesn’t offend him in any way. I’m sorry; my name is Adonia, daughter of Apollo. What’s yours? She asked with a small smile towards him. Hoping he will be nice.

Ryan could say that he had had a good weapons teacher. Depending on what you saw a good teacher as. He had learned the weapons and had become decently good in all of them (excluding archery) The way he had become good at them was another story entirely. Not a very good one at that, it was more like an army camp/torture abuse center. Sure, it was all part of the demigod luck. He had to grow up in one Hades then get dumped into another. Gee this Camp was so big, Ryan had never seen so many people in his life! Then again, that wasn't saying much since the maximum number of people he had ever been around at once was two. The fifteen year old gave a slight hiss. If this is what Hades was like, it was going to drive him crazy.
The son of Ares had detached himself from the shadows and started to walk up to the other dummy. He then glanced at the other girl again. Ryan turned just in time to see her decapitate the dummy she had been working on before. A smirk flickered across his face; so she did have it in her. Demigod adrenaline and ADHD were sometimes so very annoying, but they could prove darn useful sometimes, especially during fights. The girl whipped around, hearing him and he ignored her and just kept moving. Maybe he knew her and just forgot (which was likely) or maybe he didn't know it at all; he had passed her, that he was sure of. After being in Camp for three years, even if you didn't want to be here, you would soon pass the same person once or twice and remember their face. Either way, he didn't care, whatever.
It was true, Ryan still needed to work on his weapons. The son of Ares wasn't the best fighter in Camp and he dang well knew it. Most of the senior Campers could beat him into a pulp in a heart beat if they really wanted to. Owl Brain had already proven that. Plus, he had been beaten in a lot in spars and he had become quite used to it. The son of Ares was getting beat mostly by girls (weird, he hadn't run into a lot of guys in here) and he really didn't care, just because they were girls didn't mean they couldn't fight. After he had dislodged his swords from the dummy, a voice caught his attention. The fifteen year old realized that it was the girl he had seen when he had first entered the arena. He looked at her and gave a slight shrug, not sure how to respond to praise or anything positive directed towards him for that matter. "Hi," Ryan growled, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Ryan..." he said after a slight hesitation. Yes, he still was hesitant with his name. Really sad if you thought about it, but he had never really been referred to by his name a lot.Character Name: Ryan Simons Mood: Slightly Confused, Angry To: Adonia Theodosia IC Word Count: 515 Made by: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

Adonia saw Ryan narrow his eyes at her. She was taken a little back cause she did nothing to deserve those eyes at her, which kind of made her sad. Maybe the boy, Ryan, he didnt want to talk to her. But they were both here at the arena and he was practicing. Maybe it was his sword I took, well one of them. Adonia thought to herself. She shifted around her feet a little bit and looked at him. I have to ask, but do I have one of your swords? Is that why you narrowed your eyes at me? Adonia had asked in a kind voice. She wasnt scared of Ryan, but she didnt want anymore of a reason for him to be rude to her.
Rudeness is what Adonia doesnt really like. If people are rude for no reason with her, she thinks that she has a right at least to ask what she has done wrong, but if she was getting treated as being rude, then she wouldnt have asked. But Adonia knew all too well about rude people. Take her step-father for minute. He was very rude to Adonia, but not to his own daughter, Gracie. Adonia loves her half-sister to the bone and would do anything for her, but she thought that he should treat them equally. Mentally rolling her eyes at the thought, Adonia realized she was in her fantasy land. I hope he didnt notice that he seen that I was off in dreamland or spacing. That would be embarrassing. Turning a light shade of red, Adonia cleared her throat and looked at him.
Since we are both here and you are really good at the sword, you mind teaching me a few things? She asked a little timidly. She hated to ask others for help, but she desperately needed it, just incase she has another run in with a monster, then she would be prepared to kick some monster behind!

Blurring and stirring the truth and the lies So I don't know what's real and what's not So I don't know what's real and what's not Always confusing the thoughts in my head So I can't trust myself anymore I'm dying again, I'm going under ~Going Under, Evanesce ...with Naria XD Slight curiosity edged at Ryan. Who's sword had she taken? Ryan had no idea and he didn't' really care but still. He knew he wouldn't really want his sword to be taken by anyone. Then again, if he just left his sword laying around, then it was up for grabs. That was why he never really put them down anywhere. His head snapped up as her voice reached his ears again. She seemed to be talking to him. There was no one else in the rink, so that narrowed the choices down quite a bit. Either she was talking to him, or loosing her mind and talking to herself. The fifteen year old rolled his eyes. "No, that isn't mine," he said shortly. She looked a bit older than him, but he didn't care.
Ryan never really cared about age, ever. Just because someone was older or younger than you didn't make them more or less experienced. Or an idiot for that matter. Another thing he didn't like? There was a heck of a lot, including this whole flipping place of a Hades, but Cabins for that matter. He thought cabins were freaking stupid. All they did was show that you were claimed by a freaking god that never bothered to flipping be in your stink like Hades life. Ryan hated that he was in a Cabin. He had and still hated the Hermes Cabin and he hated the Ares Cabin. Then again, it was either he go into the Cabin to sleep for a few hours or go sleep somewhere else. Ryan had slept in other places besides a bed, sort of often in his past life. Before coming to his second Hades. It wasn't that comfortable, at all. Then again, when was a demigod's life ever comfortable? He got snapped out of his thinking when the girl cleared her throat. She half looked like she was coming out of thinking as well.
He gave a shrug. Quite honestly, he didn't' think he was amazing or really good at sword fighting. How others saw it was a different matter entirely. To him, he could always be better. Someone out there, right now, if he was counting their proximity to him, Owl Brian or Fish Face, were better than him. Ryan looked at her, half confused flickering across his face for a second. Him teach her? Ryan had never been asked for help, let alone teach someone. "Okay...?" he half asked, half said. This was really weird. He eyed the sword she was holding. "If it's not yours it won't work that well," he growled. His mind started going. How was he going to do this? No way in Hades was he going to teach her the way he was taught.Character Name: Ryan Simons Mood: Angry, Confused To: Adonia Theodosia IC Word Count: 473 Made by: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy
