All was calm at first. No motion, no light, no anything. Luna was only aware of herself being there. Then light came into her world, bringing a gust of wind with it. Once Luna could see, she automatically wished she couldn't. She was standing atop Half-Blood Hill. Everything was on fire the Cabins, The Big House, even the Forge was on fire. People she knew were smoldering corpses on the ground, barely recognizable. Several other were running around on fire, trying to put out flames.
Then she saw them, people she cared about. Sophie the Apollo girl she met at the Forge. Ryan, the Ares boy who she had nearly glomped to death here at the hill. Then her brothers...she didn't even want to see her poor brothers...
Before anything else could happen, a finger tapped Luna on the shoulder. She whipped around so fast her hair seemed to be a red whirlwind in front of her for a moment. Once her vision was clear of that she saw a man standing in front of her with a creepy grin. He was tall with dark hair and was wearing a leather jacket. Luna took one look into his read eyes and knew it was Phobos. "See your future little hero..." He said. "You camp will fall."
That's when Luna woke up with a shriek. The mass hysteria she had just witnessed was too much for her to take. It was only a few minutes in reality, but to Luna it felt like centuries before she had calmed herself. Once she had she was still breathing heavy. Once Luna was back to normal, she only felt anger. What did Phobos want with her? Also, why pick Luna of all people? That was it. Now Luna was convinced the only way to end this was to get a quest. Tomorrow she would to talk with Chiron again. Luna believes the centaur had spoken to Rachel the Oracle before hand, because whenever she catches sight of Luna she heads the other way.
Luna chugged a bit of a bottle of water and looked at her watch. 2:30 AM. She groaned and threw herself back on her bed. Noway was she getting to bed anytime soon. And what was she supposed to say about the scream? Ugh...this is going to be a long night. Might as well break out the Diet Pepsi.

Late at night things I thought I'd put behind me haunt my mind I just know there's no escape now once it's set its eyes on you but I won't run, have to stare it in the eye ~Stand My Ground, Within Temptation It was late at night. Ryan snuck back into his Cabin, took of his weapons and laid down. He hated coming anywhere near this place! All it did was identify him with his parent, which was not what he wanted. He stayed away from here at all costs. Only came in here for a few hours for sleep was all. Ryan knew what it was like to sleep without a bed. It hurt like hades depending on where you were stuck at. The demigod boy sighed and shut his eyes, sudden tiredness from all his training just washing over him.
He was in a forest that was on fire and running. There was just one abnormality. Where ever he ran, there was always room around him, the fire moved away from him and was no where near him nor touching him. For some reason or another, Ryan didn't realize it and kept running. Stupid idiots who didn't tend their fires! Then a figure flashed in front of him. It made him stagger to a stop. It was his aunt who was holding a match, a malicious smirk across her face. Apparently it hadn't been just a careless mortal. Ryan went to swipe at her and ask what the heck she was doing when she incinerated and disappeared. Where she had been was ashes. Weird, there was no fire around her at all. It was then that Ryan comprehended that the fire was giving him a wide birth. Before Ryan could wonder why, another figure flashed in the fire, Edmund. Unlike his aunt, Ed stayed, solid as ever. He was up a tree, and looking plainly terrified.
Ryan tried to tell him to get off, but for some reason his vocal cords wouldn't work at all. A flame of the fire leapt up and started to engulf the tree. The small started to climb up instead of down. Why the heck didn't he just jump off? A random flame jumped up out of nowhere; it almost looked like it shot out of the tree itself. It incinerated the branch that the small boy was on. He shrieked and his body fell back to the earth.
The fire disappeared and the forest it was completely dark. Suddenly a cold chill went right through Ryan, a small white figure took form right infront of Ryan's face, making the demigod take a few steps back. "Why didn't you save me?!" Ed demanded in a high shrill. "I... I tried, but..." Ryan tried using his vocals, but it wouldn't work. Ed just glared at him and shook his head; it looked so odd for him since Ryan was so accustomed to seeing him happy, they locked eyes. "Excuses," the young boy accused, his angry look dropping and replaced by a depressed one. There were two loud bangs that sounded like gun shots and Edmund fell away.
Ryan bolted up and bit his tongue. That was just a dream. Yeah, right, when are any stupid demigod dreams normal? he thought bitterly. They always had to force remind you of stuff or predict the doom in your life. Well, this was impossible. Kath couldn't come into the forest on Camp boundaries and Edmund was already dead. He shivered, no way was he going to sleep now. Half of the time it was him waking himself up, other times it was his dreams. Lovely demigod dreams. He got up quietly, geared up and then went outside. It was so late it was dark out, but Ryan was just to wide awake to stay down any longer. As he passed a Cabin, Ryan had no idea which one it was and didn't care, he heard a shriek. His blood froze. What the heck? He quietly opened the door. "Interested in waking the entire Hades of a Camp up much?" he growled, glaring into the darkness and waiting for his eyes to adjust.OOC: Hope that's alright Character Name: Ryan Simons Word From the Character: Stupid demigod dreams.... At this point, Luna was her normal goofy self. All was fine, noone had even come to see what the noise was. Not even her brothers had done more then stirred a bit. Luna supposed that was normal for them. Now she had done nothing to do but sit on her messy bed and considered booting up one of the game systems they had in the cabin. Luna tried to stretch and felt enormous pain in her right shoulder, making her wince. She had almost forgotten of the wound she received on the hill. Luna remembered Ryan wrapping it in his jacket. The thought of Ryan made her frown. Why was he always so miserable? How wasn't he claimed when he's definitely pass thirteen? He made little sense to her, but Luna was determined to be friends anyway.
"Speak of Hades and Hades shall appear." Luna though when the very one known as Ryan Simons opened the door to Cabin Nine. "Hi best buddy!" she screamed. "Welcome to Cabin Nine! Your welcome to stay for awhile!" Luna doubted he would, but it would be fun to try. She let herself go into a fit of giggles at his comment, when that ended she said. "Sorry Ryan, I had a nightmare." Luna had felt sad for a moment when she thought if it, and the pain it caused her, but it was over quick. She looked at Ryan in the darkness. "Stay for awhile, I have lots of soda, and candy, and chips,..." The list went on, Luna hoped he would stay for awhile. It wasn't like she had to many people to call friend at camp, not any close ones anyway.
Luna turned to the Xbox system that was installed in the wall in front of her bed and the two controllers, sitting near it. Her brothers played it with her because they knew she was lonely, but Luna hated how they pitied her for being alone. The thought added a bit of sadness to her bright mood. Luna really hoped Ryan would stay. Luna looked at him and giggled. "Come on! We can play Xbox!" she said.

Well, that had been a real pleasant way to wake up (sense the sarcasm, a lot of it). The dream was still stuck in his mind so, as much as he dreaded it, Ryan revisited it while his mind was on unconscious, drifting, trying to come out of shock mode. The first thing he remembered was that he was running, away. As in running away from the fire. That was another abnormality in addition to the fact that the fire had been giving him a berth. Ryan had been taught, even as a little kid, to never run away. For any reason. At all. Then there was Edmund. His already dead... Ryan had known him around seven years ago. He had met him and one of his other best friend in a forest. Now both of them were gone. Ryan shut his eyes; the facts hitting him straight in the face again. They were both gone and it was all his fault.
As his eyes adjusted to the darkness he saw the outline of Luna, the girl he had met up on the hill. The one who had gotten shot with the dagger, and whose blood now resided on his jacket. He rolled his eyes slightly, about to duck back out; she seemed herself again. "I'm not your buddy!" he hissed at her. Did she seriously want to wake up her whole Cabin? Cabin Nine? Ryan had never paid attention to the Cabins and their numbers, so he had no idea. What had she said when first meeting him? Luna, daughter of Hephaestus. So Cabin Nine was for the kids of Hephaestus. "Uh, no. I don't think so," he growled at her invitation for him to stay there. He let out another frustrated hiss as she was plunged into a fury of giggles yet again. "Oh," he said flatly as she said she had a nightmare. He had one too, his source of a wake up call as well, he supposed.
He looked at her in slight confusion. Soda? Chips? Candy? His mind drew a blank. What the heck were they? Oh! Right, Nike had told him about them. He had tried soda and it had tasted weird to him. "Uh, no," he snarled, shaking his head. Ryan had never been inside another person's Cabin, it looked different from the Ares' one. Ryan gave her an odd look. "Xbox...?" he asked. "What is that?" he questioned, confusion flickering over his mask of anger. It was probably another common knowledge thing, but it wasn't his fault that he was brought up under a rock.Character Name: Ryan Simons Mood: Guilty, Sad, Angry, Confused To: Luna Knight IC Word Count: 437 Made by: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

Even when Ryan said he wasn't her friend, Luna's smile didn't falter. Why of course they weren't friends yet! This was only the second time they had met! Her smile only weakened when he said he didn't want to stay. The thing that differed him from the others is at least they were nice about it. The daughter of Hephaestus felt loneliness creep into her usual happiness. Anyone that knew her saw that Luna was one of the happiest people that you could meet, besides when was lonely, of course. Though that was the only time.
Unlike her usual nature, Luna turned solemn, upset even. Her smile disappeared entirely. The feeling of loneliness crept in more and more by the second. He wouldn't stay, none stays. "Get out then!" Luna spat in spite of herself. She hated being mean like this. When he didn't leave Luna just glared. Ryan seemed bank, but whether it was for Luna's sudden change in attitude or because he didn't know what junk food and Xbox was Luna couldn't figure out. All the daughter of Hephaestus knew is that she wanted him out. A minute later Luna realized that wasn't completely true, part of her still wanted him to stay.
Luna didn't listen to the part that wanted him to stay. Part of the reason for that was the part that recently showed herself, the part that wanted him out, was growing louder and bigger and, surprisingly, meaner every moment. It was awhile since Luna felt mean, so her own feelings made her hesitate for a second when she started glare. The feeling of guilt, however wrong it was, was starting to dominate the anger, making Luna feel bad for yelling at her could have been friend. Tears showed in her eyes as Luna rolled over in bed a bundled herself up in the blanket. "Just go away..." Luna weeped.

Ryan rolled his eyes, watching the daughter of Hephaestus scamper around her Cabin like a child. He watched her smile falter slightly as he said that he had no interest in staying. Well, it was the truth. He didn't want to stay here in another person's cabin. He wasn't the most popular person in Camp. That, plus, he had half the mind that if anyone else from this Cabin woke up, they'd attack him. Ryan glared around the cabin, as if daring any of them to wake up; the fifteen year old was tense and uptight, just like he always was/ Even if he had a dream, that didn't give him an excuse not to be him. If they did find him in their Cabin and attack him, oh well, whatever. He'd live, jut like he lived through any other fight; he usually came out alive, but battered and sometimes scarred for life. Ryan just didn't want to be here right now at all, it felt weird.
The son of Ares couldn't help a very slight pang of guilt creep into his conscience. This girl had reminded him of Ed very slightly and it wasn't helping that he had had that dream. Stupid dreams, stupid conscience... Usually he would just be him, see someone falter and not care. Tonight was sort of haunting him though; for a moment he felt like he was slipping into darkness and seeing Edmund's depressed face an inch or so from his own. Ryan gave a slight step back before he realized that he was still in the girl's Cabin. The demigod simply looked at her, testing her patience when she snapped at him to get out. While he stood there, waiting, he pondered about what the Xbox was. Sounded like a box. But with an X infront of it. A bad box? Didn't X sometimes mean wrong? There was X the letter, X meaning bad, and X the roman numeral if he wasn't mistaken.
He was rather used to these mood swings. If not from Camp, from his own home. Kath would seem completely nice and sweet one moment, then she'd be yelling and swinging a sword near his face the next. The girl seemed to sort of come around to what she had told him. She sort of seemed shocked herself and then her eyes became misty. Ryan looked at her, thinking that she felt guilty. He hardly heard her muffled request to leave again. If Ryan had been feeling normal, he would of just rolled his eyes and left. Right now Ryan was feeling sort of far from normal. "Alright..." he muttered, rubbing his neck. He half backed out of the Cabin, feeling sort of horrible.OOC: Hope this is okay, sorry for the late reply. Do you want to end this thread or not? While Luna had watched Ryan she discovered something about him. He was nervous while in the cabin, as if think if another one of Hephaestus children could wake at any moment and attack him. So at that moment, Luna had deemed him paranoid. She hadn't said it out loud of course, that would have just been mean, and Luna no longer felt that burst of hate towards Ryan any longer. Right now Luna just felt ashamed of being angry, though in the back of her mind, Luna had known Ryan deserved it.
Tears were still wet in her eyes, every bit of anger was repressing and fading fast. When Luna looked at Ryan the next time, surprise was added to her mixed emotions. Ryan looked... sincerely guilty. It made Luna a little more relaxed to know Ryan had another emotion besides anger. Luna had also seen confusion in his eyes, she guessed that was because he wasn't aware of what an X-box was. Luna would probably end up explaining it to him either now, or tomorrow if he was serious about leaving, which Luna is pretty sure he was.
Luna had felt confused herself when he didn't leave when he had the chance, Ryan may have felt a little more confusion then he was letting on. What he said next confirmed that, but also made Luna give a still watery grin. Ryan... was going to stay! Luna gestured him forward. " Xbox is a video game system." Luna explained from his earlier question. "You can play different games on it, depending on which ones you have. You can buy more games at certain mortal stores. My big brother made this for me." she waved a hand toward the X-box at that one. It was true, her brother had made it for her before he died in the Titan War.
Luna had pulled out an extra Pepsi from her mini fridge and an extra bag of chips from her small storage of them. These' of course, were for Ryan. Luna saw his confusion when she mentioned these to, it might be something good for him to try. She put them next to her, still waiting for him to come by where she is, and then started up the Xbox. Once that was done, Luna pulled out the ten games she owned, and decided to let Ryan picked which they played.

Surprisingly, Ryan could sort of tell people a lot just by standing there. The major thing, was that he was paranoid. Not just in another person's Cabin. To be perfectly honest, he had never been inside another person's Cabin. He just tried to stay away from all of them as much as possible. Ryan usually stood on edge and ready to move and fight at any moment. Another thing that he did was analyze people; he may of seemed unobservant and ignorant on the outside, and he was as far as people's personal life and emotions. The other things, the way they walked, their voice and any other things that would help during fighting, he remembered. Heck, he even remembered people's names and their parent, he just didn't call them by it. He knew almost every god and goddess, minus the family relationships, but paid no attention to Cabins, Tables or any demigod. He had passed almost every person in Camp at least once, it's what he got for staying a year rounder for three years. Yes, he had, but he hadn't put name to face on many of them; he didn't really 'know' anyone at camp and no one at camp knew him. He didn't really care, and he was sure they didn't either. If he knew someone, it was probably through a fight; any contact Ryan had with people, it was never civil. It usually ended in a fight; be it physical or verbal.
The demigod eyed the girl and wondered if he was giving away a bit more than he would of liked. Right now, Ryan really hated dreams. He tried to not think about it, but that was sort of hard as of now. He was almost sure that a flicker of guilt passed over his face. Dang it. For the most part, Ryan was actually pretty good about keeping his anger mask on, but if the emotion was strong enough, it usually just showed on his face, wheatear he wanted it to or not. In that aspect, he couldn't really control his facial emotions if he was feeling it too much. He was defiantly feeling something, and it wasn't what he wanted to feel. He didn't care that his plain confusion was shown; he didn't care about that. What was bothering him even more, was the guilt he felt. It was mostly guilt from the dream. That dream had just thrown him way off and now he was feeling way more guilty than he normally would of when in here. Normally, he wouldn't care, period.
Ryan hesitated as Luna beckoned him over. Half of him really didn't want to do it; the other half said that he really owed her for snapping. He gave himself a hit over the head; stupid dream, if he hadn't had it then he wouldn't still be here. He bit his tongue, half rolled his eyes and walked forward a few steps. A wave of stubbornness came over him. He had come in here, so no way was he just going to run out now; sure, he may not like it, but one of his things was to stay with something until the end. He continued deeper in, still feeling slightly resentful. So, there was his definition of an Xbox, half of it, he didn't understand. All he understood was system. Not the video game part. "Oh, alright," he shrugged as she kept explaining. So it was a system that you could play different games on. It was the video part he wasn't sure about. Game, he sort of was familiar with that. He was facing a screen. "What is that?" he asked, looking at the screen. "Is it the video part of the video game system?" He took a look at the Xbox it's self. "That's small to play games on..." he said in confusion, looking at the rather smallish box.
Luna proceeded to take a can out of a small refrigerator, along with a weird looking bag of something. Yes, Ryan was very behind on the times, but it wasn't his fault he had practically lived under a rock. A lot of stuff around camp seemed like common knowledge. Common knowledge to others that wasn't common to him at all. He watched with mild interest as Luna went over to the box and pushed or flipped something. "What's that do?" he asked, eyeing the box and half expecting it to explode.OOC: XD I love playing a clueless Ryan Character Name: Ryan Simons Word From the Character: I freaking hate demigod dreams -_- Mood: Slightly Angry, Stubborn, Slightly Guilty, Confused To: Luna Knight IC Word Count: 769 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy
