THALIA AMANDA GRACE
Name::Thalia Amanda Grace
Nickname::Thals, Pine Cone Face(usually by Percy)
Age::15 forever
Gender::Female
Species:: Demi God/Hunter of Artemis
Olympian Parent::Zeus
Years at Camp:: A few months before she joined the Hunters
Claimed:: Yes
Celebrity Claim:
Ellen Page
Looks::
Thalia has black hair and startling blue eyes. Her hair has become longer over the years and now reaches past her shoulders. Her skin is pale and she doesn't wear any make up. She has freckles under her eyes, mostly the left one. She wears punk styled clothes and she has a magic bracelet that turns into Aegis. It is a modified version of her father Zeus’s shield. It has the image of Medusa’s head on it. It was given to her as a gift from Athena. She also carries a collaspsible mace canister which changes into a spear.
Personality::
Thalia was born a natural leader. She often charges into situations without caution and is too sure of herself. She is willing to give her life up for her friends and came very close to doing that on Half Blood Hill when they were attacked by monsters. She gets mad at her father, Zeus, for not helping her yet she still supports the Olympians. It is shown that she has a weak resistance when she is offered power. She also has a fear of heights, which Percy finds it strange because Zeus is the lord of the Sky. Thalia is also extremely determined and stubborn as well. She has trouble abandoning a difficult task that she has started but is not able to complete. It is often said that Thalia and Percy are very much alike in personality.
Family::
May Grace-mother, dead
Zeus-father, alive, rules Olympus
Hera-stepmother
Artemis-half sister(and a whole lot more that I don’t feel like listing at the moment)
Nicholia Hawthorn-half brother
History::
Before Thalia’s birth Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon had made a pact never to have children again after World War Two. But Zeus couldn’t handle himself when he met Thalia’s mother, an eighties starlet with a poofy hair do. Her birth had broken the pact between the Big Three. It was revealed that her mother was an alcoholic. Thalia wasn’t on very good terms with her and it was always a sore spot when it was brought up. She ran away from home when she was younger and came across some monsters since she was a half blood. It was a while before she met Luke Castellan. They wandered around for some time and ran into Annabeth Chase, who was in the same situation as they were. Luke gave the seven year old his knife and had promised that he wouldn’t fail her and Thalia was her constant bodyguard.
It was a few days later when Thalia got injured by a monster. Luke took her and Annabeth to his mother’s house to fix the wound on her leg. She didn’t know what passed when Luke was away but whatever it was it had changed him. Thalia had said that Luke began to act like he had something to prove. They got into more fights and they eventually ran into the Hunters. Thalia was asked to join but she refuses, saying that she couldn’t leave Luke behind. It was Zoe who told her that Luke would let her down and that caused Thalia to resent and dislike them. It was some time before the three of them ran into Grover Underwood. Together they traveled to Camp Half Blood but they were chased by monsters from Hades. A Cyclops had stopped them so that the monsters could catch up. The monster held Thalia, Luke, and Grover in the air to direct the other monsters in their direction but Annabeth saved them by stabbing it in the foot. The other monsters began to catch up so Thalia made the ultimate sacrifice. She chose to stay behind and fight them so the others could make it up to Half Blood Hill safely. She fought them and was mortally wounded. It was unclear if Zeus was feeling sorry for his daughter or he didn’t want her to be taken by Hades. He saved her life by turning her into a pine tree. It was known as Thalia’s tree and it became the barrier against monsters and mortals unless they were invited by someone inside.
Her tree is poisoned and the magical borders around the camp are fading. She also appears in Percy’s dreams and it was shown that she might be the one to bring Kronos back to life. She comes back to life after Clarisse had placed the Golden Fleece on the tree. This is good and bad because it meant that Thalia could be the one in the prophecy and Kronos could take advantage of that. A few months later Grover is sent on a mission to find more half bloods and he sends a call from Westover Hall, a military school. The school was having a dance the time that Thalia, Percy, and Annabeth went. Thalia manipulated the Mist to trick Dr. Thorn, a resident teacher and a Manticore. But it doesn’t convince him. Thalia convinces Grover to dance with her, trying to act normal. She rescues Percy and the other two demi gods who was captured by Dr. Thorn. Artemis and the Hunters had shown up and attack Dr. Thorn. Annabeth tries to stop Dr. Thorn from killing Percy and leaps on his back, attacking him with her knife. The Manticore jumped off the cliff and vanished along with Annabeth.
Thalia is angry that Zoe is there. She becomes even angrier when they convince Bianca to join the Hunters. Bianca was originally being sent to camp and helping them along with her brother Nico. Thalia is also furious at Percy, who messes up on warning them. As a result Annabeth is captured and possibly dead. Artemis promises to find her and leaves the Hunters, Percy, Thalia and Grover in the hands of Apollo, her twin brother. When they arrive to the camp Zoe asks for a quest and Chiron gives it to her. They will take only two campers and three Hunters. Thalia volunteers almost immediately, daring anyone to question her right when her close friend, Annabeth, is missing as well at the hands of someone evil. Zoe, Thalia, Phoebe, Bianca and Grover are assigned on the quest and Percy is shocked that he can’t go. The Stoll brothers give Phoebe a poisoned T-shirt that covers her in painful hives for revenge in Capture the Flag. Zoe insists that they leave even though they have only four people.
After many hours of traveling the Hunters, Thalia, and Grover stop at a museum. Unknown to them, Percy had been following them and sees Dr. Thorn. He does not go into the museum but ends up going somewhere else. After seeing the General and Luke Percy notifies Thalia and the others. Her and Zoe were rather surprised and angry at the fact that he had followed them but are interrupted when the Nemean lion attacks. Nothing is able to pierce the lion’s armor much to the displeasure of them. Percy discovers a weakness and he has an idea to expose it. He finds astronaut food in the gift shop and throws them into the mouth. The creature exposed his mouth long enough for Zoe to finish him off with an arrow. The group gets on a train heading west after Percy encounters Apollo. Thalia and Percy sits together and he discovers that Artemis had offered to make her a Hunter and why she didn’t like them. She’s quiet at first and tells him that she didn’t want to leave Luke behind and says that Annabeth had been thinking about joining and that he should figure out why.
With some help from Apollo, the gang reaches a small town in New Mexico. Once on their arrival they are surrounded by some skeletal warriors. Grover senses Pan’s presence and a wild gift from him, the Erymathian Boar. The boar carries them further on to San Francisco. It takes them to the junkyard of the gods. They eventually entered the yard where Bianca tries to steal something but she awakens Talos. It enters via a maintenance hole in his left foot to destroy him. She succeeds in destroying the Talos but goes missing afterwards. It is unknown if she is alive or dead at this time. Zoe is devastated and looks for Bianca. No one finds her and while Zoe is crying everyone realizes that Bianca was the one they would lose in
the land without rain.
They go to see Annabeth’s father in San Francisco to ask for help and he lends him his car. It cannot be returned to him as it explodes from a lightning bolt that Kronos threw to make Thalia angry at her father. She is shaken by this as she remembers one of the prophecy and thinking that Zeus had tried to kill her. Percy tells her it’s only Kronos trying to make her angry with her father. Those words managed to convince her and she manages to stay focused. Afterwards the group climbs to the Garden of the Hesperides where Zoe meets her sisters and is poisoned by the dragon Ladon. They continue to the place where Atlas used to hold up the sky. They see Artemis taking on his burden and Annabeth being bound and gagged by Luke and Atlas. It was there that they discovered Kronos used Thalia to twist destiny into her hands, since she would be turning sixteen on the day following the Winter Solstice. She demands answers from Luke, questioning why he had betrayed all of them. Luke tries to convince her but she takes out her spear, saying that he wasn’t Luke and she didn’t know who he was anymore and attacks him.
Thalia and Luke battle each other. Anger on Thalia’s side and desperation on Luke’s. Thalia gained the upper hand and in the battle she manages to take his weapon away, saying that he could never beat her. He reaches out to grab the weapon and as an instinct, Thalia kicks him and he falls into a chasm. She is shocked that she just killed Luke, the boy she used to love. Zoe was dying by Atlas’s final blow as well as the poison. She apologized to Thalia and Thalia commented that she was right about Luke and about the heroes and men. After Zoe had passed away Artemis declared that she will go to Mount Olympus to speak with the gods. Thalia and the group, minus Annabeth’s father, rode the pegasi. She fell asleep on the back exhausted and wasn’t bothered by her fear of heights this time. Thalia didn’t wake up until they were close to Olympus, saying that the Winter Solstice had already started.
Thalia was aware that Zeus was staring at her when they entered the throne room. The gods were debating on what to do with them. Ares wanted to kill her and Percy since they are the most dangerous half bloods. Poseidon commented that he would not have his son blown to bits and Zeus sided with him, saying that his daughter did well. It was then that Thalia blushed and studied the floor. Artemis had taken this moment to announce that she needed a new lieutenant and had chosen Thalia to be the one. Zeus was concerned but Thalia assured him, saying that she would not turn sixteen the day after. That the prophecy would never be about her. She then knelt down and spoke the oath that would make her a Hunter of Artemis. Afterwards Thalia gave Percy a hug, saying that she was honoring a friend after he had asked her if she shouldn’t be doing that anymore. She tells him that he would be the one in the prophecy and afterwards went to give Annabeth and Grover a hug. Thalia moved to stand by Artemis’s side. There was a party honoring in their favor and afterwards Thalia goes off on adventures with Artemis and the other Hunters.
The next time that Thalia encounters the group was at New York City. Her and the Hunters had come to help them fight Kronos’s army and everyone was relieved to see them. Thalia tells them that she had been on many adventures and that her, Annabeth, and Percy promise to buy cheeseburgers after the battle and talk about what they have been doing since the last time they saw each other. She is absent at the time of Luke’s death and had never found out of he had survived or not. She survives through the battle and continues to work for Artemis and the Hunters and will be immortal for ever until she falls in love or dies in combat. Or if she decides to leave.

The night air was cool and crisp. Stars seem to twinkle in the inky black night sky. A young woman crouched down low, her startling electric blue eyes were fixed on an elk that was grazing in the open field. Her spiky black hair was starting to become long. A silver tiara marked her as the first lieutenant of the Goddess Artemis. Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, continued to watch the elk as she shifted her bow and arrow. She started to scan the area in front of her. While she waited for the Hunters she was suppose to be leading, Thalia let her thoughts drift off. She couldn't believe she had come this far. She remembered her mother and how they didn't get along. A low growl escaped from her throat as she crouched down even lower. Her eyes started to flash with anger. She never liked her mother and didn't even use her surname, the surname Grace. Another memory appeared before her.
She was standing by Luke, no Kronos, Thalia thought to herself. There was a pained look on her face as she remembered the battle. He deserved it, she thought biting down on her lower lip. He wasn't Luke. I didn't know him. Feelings of guilt started to spread over her. She was surprised at how her eyes started to fill up with tears. She had a feeling that Luke didn't survive the battle of Manhattan. Thalia wasn't there to find out if he did or not. She was having problems of her own to deal with and she was taking to Artemis at that time. A small frown appeared on her face. Thalia remembered the first time the Hunters had approached her. She was on the run with Luke and Annabeth. Zoe had asked if she would have liked to join them. The daughter of Zeus had said no. She wouldn't leave Luke behind. Neither would she leave Annabeth behind. The poor kid was only seven when she ran away. Thalia herself was a few years older when she had decided to leave the home.
Zoe had told her that Luke would betray her. Of course at that time Thalia didn't believe it. She thought that the other young girl was simply lying truth be told. She was surprised when she was filled with information about what had happened. Thalia was surprised that Luke would have done so. She growled low again and shook her head to clear her thoughts. Focus Thalia, she told herself sternly. Focus on the hunt. She raised her head and brought her bow and arrow up stringing the arrow. Thalia pulled it back and let it loose, shooting the elk on sight. Not bad, she thought with satisfaction. Not bad at all. I suppose thats it for the night. Taking the elk with her, Thalia made her way over to the Hunters' camp.
