She was a little lost in thought. Maybe it was that she was hungry, combined with that ADHD. She hardly knew where was which and what was that. If that made any sense. If it didn't, well that's exactly how she felt. This whole going to a new country and finding out you were a demigod thing, it wasn't settling well, and she felt as if it was just scrambling her brains. Iris could now relate to Harry Potter when he was eleven.
"You're a wizard, Harry."
"I'm a... what?"
As a younger kid, Iris never thought there would be shock if she was told she was one. There would only be glee, delight and excitement. Yet here she was, just barely coping.
Ellie speaking up again brought her back out of her head, and she looked down at the girl, nodding. So it seemed there were a few places to meet up with friends. If you had any. Iris wasn't sure if the people she's met so far would be friends with her. Well, she always envisioned that friends would be people who were always with you, and who knew you for a long time. But in truth there were no people she considered friends before-- she wouldn't know. Perhaps, hopefully both Cameron and Ellie would be her friends.
Blushing when Ellie grinned, she scratched behind her ear sheepishly.
"Yeah... that would be cool. Thank you," she said softly, still a little embarrassed. "So um, we have to stay in group according to our parents? Who's yours?" She asked out of curiosity, even though she knew there wasn't a chance that she would recognize the name. It was a strange feeling, being here but not knowing much about Greek mythology. It was as if everyone was in on something she wasn't.
