Jenna Rose Bennett
Name:: Jenna Rose Bennett
Nickname:: Jenn, Flower Child
Age:: 15 (Almost 16)
Gender:: Female
Species:: Demi-God
Olympian Parent:: Demeter
Years at Camp:: 1 (This will be her second)
Claimed:: Yes
Celebrity Claim: Elise Gatien
Looks::
Jenna stands at 5'6". She has a slender build and a very graceful figure. She has some natural beauty to her, and who knows what she'd look like if she actually bothered with make-up. She has wavy brown hair that she wears commonly straight, down to her shoulders. Her eyes are a similar shade of chocolate, warm and inviting. At camp she wears the same outfit as anyone, the caution orange camp t-shirt, jeans, and her necklace. She does enjoy dressing up, but she doesn't go all out when she does. A blouse and a skirt seems far nicer than her normal dress, maybe not as nice as formal dresses, but nice enough for most things.
Personality::
Outwardly, Jenna's nickname of Flower Child fits her both in the sense that she's a daughter of Demeter, and in the sense that she kind of seems like a hippie. She doesn't officially LOVE everything. She just tries to keep a positive outlook, to find something good in everything. In the world's eyes, she's the eternal optimist. Inwardly she's just like everyone else. Things get her down and depressed, especially her past, but she tries not to let it show. There really are few people who know her darkest secrets, like her desire for a normal life, and even she doesn't know how strong that desire really is. She only knows thinking about it makes her really sad, so she tries to avoid it.
Jenna wouldn't call herself a pacifist, but she does prefer to find a peaceful solution when one can be found. She does have good judgement though, so she's not about to try and find a peaceful solution to monster attack or anything along those lines. Also, she has a lot of issue accepting the idea of prophecy and fate. She used to be a firm believer in everyone having control over their actions and their destiny, but the idea of inescapable prophecies and fates would tend to somewhat contradict this idea. Or that's how she sees it anyways. It's something she's still trying to come to terms with. To be honest, something she currently isn't too fond of.
Jenna has always had an affinity for nature, something that makes a lot of sense to her now that she knows who her mother is. As far as her mother is concerned, Jenna has mixed feelings. She certainly doesn't hate Demeter. Still, she sometimes wishes her mother had been just a mortal woman who had died in an accident, like her father had always told her. Her life would have been easier if she hadn't needed to run from monsters and hadn't gotten herself trapped in the Lotus Hotel. A large part of her wishes she could have a normal life, that she'd even had a chance at one. She's slowly accepting her life, though some part of her will always wish she'd been just another mortal girl.

History::
Jenna's history begins with her father, Cory, in the 1960s. Cory Bennett was the youngest child and only son of a fairly wealthy father. His father had high hopes for him inheriting his business and fortune, but, being the youngest child, Cory was a bit of a rebel. His father let him do as he wanted intitially, hoping that his son would settle down eventually. Cory's antics eventually led him to the Woodstock Festival where he ran into a woman with brown tresses and striking green eyes that he fell in love with. This woman was Jenna's mom, Demeter. The love between Cory and Demeter was short-lived, Demeter being more down to earth than the wild Cory. But she didn't leave him with nothing, rather she left him with a reason to settle his life down and become more responsible. Jenna's grandfather wasn't the happiest about his grandaughter being born out of wedlock, but he was willing to let it slide when the need to create a home for Jenna caused Cory to become the responsible man that his father had hoping he eventually would become.
Jenna grew up rather spoiled by her father, who inherited his father's estate as planned. Still, she was much more a child of her father's earlier days. She loved nature and was very much into love, peace, and taking responsibility for your own actions and destiny. She didn't even consider violence an option, not before the monsters started attacking. A few times trying to peacfully nogotiate with a monster, and she realized that there was just no way she could avoid fighting them. Eventually, when she was thirteen, she left home. Her father didn't make her, in fact he tried to stop her, but she wanted to protect him. After all, the monsters were after her. She didn't understand why they were after her, but she knew that if she left, he'd be safe.
She spent a few months on the run, fighting monsters and living of what she could find around her. The knowledge she had of plants - which she'd later learn was becuase of her mother - may have been the only thing that kept her alive for so long. But eventually her journey led to distaster, as Jenna became a victim of the distractions contained within the Lotus Hotel. She remained there for twenty-six years, simply because she didn't know how much time was passing outside the walls of the hotel. It was a time she greatly enjoyed, because she was, in an odd way, safe there. No monsters attacked her within the walls of the hotel, and it was the closest her life had ever been to normal. This was destined to come to an end though. Jenna was claimed by Demeter shortly before what ended up being her 14th birthday. Hermes, being the messenger of the gods, was sent to get her out of the hotel, because a satyr would have just been distracted by the games and food. Then she was passed off to a satyr, who led her to camp, and was one of the many campers who began arriving at Camp-Half Blood the summer of the Battle of Manhattan, after Percy made the gods promise to claim all their children. Seeing as her family, though they are still living, wouldn't have any idea who she was, she has become a year 'round camper. She doesn't hate her mother, but she does wish her life could have been normal, start to finish, like the glimpse of "normality" she'd gotten within the Lotus Hotel.
