In the jungle you must wait, Until is rolled a six or eight. Isaac had actually little to no clue why he was thinking that little rhyming directive from Jumanji. For one he hadn't played that game since... before the first summer he'd spent at camp. Then again, on the other hand, the directive was about as enjoyable as the command he had been given to guard the flag. Maybe people were trying to protect him, not that he hadn't had plenty of time for his ankle to heal since the last game. Maybe people felt he hadn't pulled his own weight the last game due to his ankle injury, but would they punish him by giving him such an easy job? Wouldn't the want to make him run after the flag in that case?
In truth it was probably none of those things. He was a good fighter, and he'd probably been given the job of guarding the flag because they felt he could hold off a potential attacker. All he had to do was hold them until help arrived or attempt to take them prisoner. While the latter wasn't impossible, he thought the former was possibly a better option. It wouldn't take that long for help to arrive from someone on the red team defense. It could take far longer to beat an opponent on his own, at least to the point that he could take them prisoner without too much of a hassle.
He just wished someone would actually come along and try to take the darn flag already. It seemed to take an eternity for anyone to find the flags. Which is why he hated being a guard. You didn't really do anything during the earliest parts of the game, the parts before anyone figured out where the flag was located. The biggest risk right now was letting his guard down, being taken by surprise. All the waiting could lead to guards getting complacent, being too comfortable with the lack of action and not being ready when a threat did arrive. And most of all, he just hated waiting.

Sophia had no idea why she was playing capture the flag. She was not much of a sword fighter, nor was she much of a fighter either way. She was fast, but what did that matter. She had to much on her mind. How did this help them for survival? Fighting each other? Sure this was just a game, and according to Annabeth “its not real, its just training,” but the way people took it was by a long shot. She sat high up in the trees scouting the rush of people, as the rushed around fighting. Scouting really was not a big job, but it was better then nothing. She liked to move through the trees, and found it faster then running on the ground, which most people would think the opposite. She heard something up ahead, and jumped down, careful that her armor didn’t clink together.
She saw someone up ahead, and approaching found it to be their own, guarded by Isaac, son of Athena. He was one she had seen around, and talked about one word “hey,” but that really was the longest conversation they had. Give or take her thoughts, she thought he was pretty cute, but Sophie didn’t really mess around on the flirt card like the daughters and sons of Aphrodite. Her opinion he was either taken, or it was just her. She blamed the fact she was more of a tom-boy, but lately she had been changing that slightly, in looks only. She nodded to Isaac, and started heading in the opposite way, thinking quietly to herself.
Tucking a piece of loose hair behind her ear, she started up the small path, then hearing a couple of voices up ahead of them, carefully looked for the voice. It was of their own team, so she double back. Man this came was boring, especially when you were an archer. After doubling back, she took off her helmet and ran a hand threw her dark medium hair, debating on whether or not she should just cut it off. Now what? “Well this is fun…” she replied leaning against a tree near him.

He heard a noise and tensed, rapier at the ready. Eventually he saw a figure coming towards him. It wasn't long before he saw who it was. Sophia, one of the daughters of Apollo. She was on his team. he could trust her. Isaac tried to give Sophia a smile as she commented on this being fun. He hadn't really talked to her much. The most he'd said to the daughter of Apollo before this point was a simple "hey." He'd honestly said more to her father, but to be honest that was not always a good thing. The gods had their own agendas sometimes, and when they visited you it sometimes had a purpose. Though Apollo had seemed genuine.
So...This was the chance to actually talk to her. It wasn't like they had much else to do. "I guess you could say that. I kind of wish we weren't stuck back here, though. Maybe it's one of my flaws, but patience is a virtue I don't have much of in these situations." He shrugged. "Too easy to get complacent, then the flag gets taken when you're not prepared and you cost your team the game."
He sighed. "I'm taking this way too seriously, aren't I?" He wasn't exactly trying to. At least it seemed like they were both getting bored of playing the waiting game. He was hoping that it was almost done now, though. "Don't suppose you heard or saw any signs of someone heading this way?" He could hope something was going to happen. Maybe they would actually see action before their team won the game. Was talking really going to help them? Well... not help them win the game. Though he was still on the look-out for any sound of an approaching person. It would help keep them from getting bored.
As he stood there with her, he heard a sound in the bushes and his head turned in the direction it was coming from. “Did you hear that?” he asked. He paused, trying to hear it again. “Either it’s a human or an animal. I’d rather hope it’s a person, because the last animal I ran into out here was very bizarre.” Though, at least this time he was capable of helping if it was a malignant furry creature. Not like the last game when he’d injured his ankle prior to running into the beast.

When it came to this game, Sophie did not care for it much. Out of all the three years she has been here, Sophie did not play much. Most of the time the game bored her, and that was because all she could mostly do is archery, which did not help very much in this game. At least she did not think it did. Lately though she had been practicing with a sword, but being as she was not use to it, well she was a bit clumsy at sword play. So it was safe to assume, for now no sword just yet. She was strong enough for it, it was the courage, however, she lacked at it.
The eldest child, as of right now, of Apollo looked over at the son of Athena and shrugged. “Yeah, I suppose, then again, I’m kind of useless at this game anyways,” she replied holding up her bow slightly. At least when she was “normal” in the mortal world, this game was a lot more “fun.” At least people did not have the chance to get killed accidentally. She smiled at the memories of being in junior high during cross country practice, or in physical education class. Dodge ball, capture the flag, life was fun when you did not have to worry about dying every few minutes to seconds.
She smiled a bit. “Not really. At least your mind is in the game, un-like mine. Then again, I am always thinking of multiple things at once, so… yeah again not really,” She shook her head. “No just some of our guys, and between us, I wish someone would hurry up and at least tell us what was going on.” she replied.
Sophie was beginning to be in her own little mind world, thinking about the other day when she had a nice conversation with…err not that anything or with any unparticular person. As Isaac spoke, it brought her back to mind set of the present. “Huh? Hear what?” She looked around, then at the spot he looked at. She then heard it to. She gently and careful got her bow ready, and quietly went over to where the noise was coming from, and crouched down by a tree near Isaac. “No idea, but then again I never run into anything, other then people, when I am out here,” she replied.
