Will couldn't help but wonder if he was the only one who didn't know this forest backwards and forwards. No wonder they never put him on offense, because it was his fifth time on offense since the Battle of Manhattan and he was slightly lost (slightly being a huge understatement). Before he had been on offense all the time, but that was because he'd usually teamed up with Everett and Everett actually knew how to get around. Will, however, had no idea how anyone could tell one section of the forest apart from another section. Every tree looked alike, every rock looked alike, and there were zero landmarks he recognized besides the river, and this rock that kind of looked like Santa Claus (he'd passed that three times if anyone was counting).
It seemed though that luck was at least a little on his side because he'd seen enough helmets with red plumes to confirm that he was now in enemy territory. That, or their blue team defense was severely lacking this time around. Which seemed almost impossible because Blue had the Athena kids on their side, and those kids would probably rather tear out their hair than let their strategies be proven ineffective. Not to mention those sneaky Hermes kids were pretty helpful as well.
Still he didn't have quite enough luck, because even if he was in the right section of the forest, he still had no damn clue on where to go from here. Will had even tried to stop and ask for directions, but as one would assume, the Red team member he'd asked had been a little unwilling to share any tips. Instead he'd tried to slice-and-dice Will into a nice side dish of ceviche. Fortunately though, Will's swordsman skills were much better than his compass reading skills and he quite easily disarmed the other demigod (an Ares boy no less, so he was quite proud of himself for getting the best of one of Hannibal Lecter's demon spawn). He'd ended up with a deep cut in his arm that really stung, but inconveniently for him, his healing powers only worked on others. Ah well, he felt slightly better knowing that he'd broken that kid's nose (not that he wouldn't be happy to fix it later).
"Alright Will, it's fine.." He told himself in regards to his current predicament of being lost in enemy territory. "Just think...If I were a pretty red flag, where would I hide?" He subconsciously rubbed at the cut on his arm as he pondered this. "Well, in China obviously." Will grinned to himself, amused by his own dorkiness. Highly unlikely though that the Red team had gone to such lengths as digging a hole to China just to hide their flag. Not to mention, that would probably be breaking the rules regarding the game boundaries. He wasn't sure, but it just seemed probable that that was true.
Pulling out his sword, he decided to just continue moving straight ahead at a steady, stealthy, and especially quiet pace. Best to go unnoticed for as long as he could.

This had been one thing that Luke had defiantly missed, capture the flag. Sure he wasn’t a captain this time around, who would want to fallow him exactly anyways? Just he was perfectly happy to fallow Annabeth’s orders on this one. Just the thrill of capture the flag had always gotten him going, able to work out his muscles in some real combat instead of running a million laps on the obstacle course or teaching a dummy a thing or two. Well it was almost real combat, last time he checked they weren’t allowed to kill or maim. Then again he knew a few cabins that wouldn’t be above losing their dessert to get the flag. He remembered one Aphrodite kid who lost an year when he was 16, poor kid. They put him right in the end, mostly but he doubted he has played capture the flag since.
Heck Luke hadn’t even played since all those years ago when he had let that hell hound in during Percys first – he cut that thought off there, because he wasn’t going to go down that memory lane right now. He had made some mistakes in the past and he was done sulking about them, he was alive and back where he belonged. Even he and Annabeth seemed to be heading in a new direction since Jackson had been an idiot to let her go. Just enough getting lost in his own head, he needed to focus on the game.
He was now skulking around in the bushes, his helmet under his arm just because that damn tall plumage would give him away. Because right now he knew he was defiantly in enemy territory. He was moving as silent as he could, helmet under one arm and sword in the other hand. It wasn’t too long before he caught a whole little ugly group of the red team moving about in front of him, deciding to have some fun he popped out and grinned.” Hello gentlemen.” He said with his helmet now firmly on his head, just as they turned he cleared his throat a little embarrassed.” Um I mean ladies.” Oops my bad He thought right before the whole lot ran at him, lucky there was only three. He had taken on worse! He disappeared in a snap and they all looked confused for a moment before he appeared behind them.” Son of Hermes, Duh.” He said and as they turned around he hit one with the butt of his sword on the wrist, disarming him. Then he had to duck as one went for his head, that would of defiantly counted as maiming if he had lost his head! Just while he was down he kicked the feet out from under the other two, causing them to fall and when they stayed down he grinned.” Yeah, I still got it.” He said before running off threw the forest (as silently as possible), keeping an eye out for the red flag.
It wasn’t to long before he caught sight of a blue guy ahead of him, he silently came up behind him and heard him muttering about the flag being in china.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t know if we have enough shovels to reach it if it is—though I could teleport and grab it.” He said and then pointed out that he was blue team before the guy attacked.” Im Luke by the way, Luke Castellan.” He said with a bit of a crooked grin as he spoke in a hush tone.” You seem a little lost..” Maybe it was a sixth sense the whole ‘son of the god of travelers’ thing or he was just seeing things but he thought he would try and lend a hand. He then looked down and saw Wills arm and quickly reached into a small pocket he had in his armor and pulled out some ambrosia.” Always have some with me, if you want it.” He offered it to him while keeping his ears open for red team.

If there were to be any reason why Will would hate a Hermes kid..it would be because they were all too damn quiet. He could always tell when someone was right behind him, because whoever it was usually tipped him off with their sloppy, noisy steps, or their loud breathing. But with these Hermes kids, they were so stealthy that there was practically no way to know they were right behind you until they announced their presence in some way. It was quite impressive, but at the same time, quite annoying. But it was probably only the latter because Will was jealous that he wasn't that sly and quiet.
So of course, fully surprised by the other camper's appearance, he had swung around with his sword in hand, coming so close to decapitating the guy. Fortunately though he quickly stopped himself as the shock wore off (no matter red or blue, decapitating was not good, but it was an involuntary reflex apparently). "Woah, sorry." He apologized, lowering his sword back to his side as he took notice of the friendly royal blue colors. In this section of the forest, he really would have been expecting a red team member, rather than a member from his own team. Not that he wasn't pleased to have a little help in enemy territory, of course. In fact, he was pretty grateful for the help, seeing as he hardly had any idea as to where he was headed.
"You're probably right...And we would probably need headlamps for the journey too, which I don't know about you, but I don't have any on me." Will shrugged his shoulders slightly. "As teleporting to get it..That sounds like cheating somehow..I like it." A mischevious smile tugged at his lips. Of course he was kidding, well, mostly. He usually played fair, it really all just depended on what game was being played. Capture the Flag though, there was really no way to cheat. Poker, chess, and the game Clue, however, were different stories. Plenty of ways to cheat at those.
"Luke Castellan? That sounds fam-" He looked thoughtful as he spoke, well at least until he abruptly cut himself off as he realized who the boy was and why exactly he was familiar. He had heard that Luke had somehow been revived and was back, and kicking it at Camp, but he'd yet to see him around until this moment. Will had never really known him, he only knew the few facts and the few rumors that he'd heard. Well, he also knew that it was a little his fault that Everett had died..but he didn't exactly blame the guy. If it hadn't been him, then it would have been some other pissed off, neglected kid. And now as far as he knew Luke was back on track now, and much more friendly..and much less 'let's-bring-down-Olympus', which was always good. "Well, ah, sorry. Bet this awkward thing happens to you a lot, huh?" He grinned at the other demigod, steering clear of judging Luke from what he'd done in the past. Everyone deserved a second chance, or so he'd heard. "Anyhow, nice to meet you Luke, I'm Will Riley."
"A little?" He snorted as he accepted the small handful of ambrosia. Tossing it back into his mouth, he instantly felt a warm, tingly feeling spread through him. Who needed alcohol when there was ambrosia (especially since ambrosia didn't result in any drunk-dialing incidents, or hangovers). "I'm not so good with the directions, you wouldn't, by any chance, care to act as my guide? Like the Lewis to my Clark?"
