Edmund hadn't slept in a loooooong time. Then again, when could one sleep when dead? It wasn't exactly practical in his head. Alex had said dead was when someone was forever asleep, so wasn't Ed technically asleep even though he was there and always talking? The eight year old didn't really waste much time thinking about it though... he was having too much FUN! He had to admit... that tall rock with the shooting lava was sort of scary, especially because he couldn't predict when the lava shot out. Then again, he knew he shouldn't be scared, he was a ghost! He couldn't die again, but he was scared for the people who did climb that great big thing...
It was dark and nearing nightfall. A cool breeze was going through the trees, when Edmund got the idea that he'd explore somewhere different. He had already seen the great big pit that worked its way up, people in it called it the ampi-teater. He had gone into a tent that had so much creativity! People were making necklaces and bracelets... it looked so cool, and Ed almost wished he could do it too. Of course, he had visited the fire rock, and the forest, and then that great big place with all the shiny things! It was just slightly upsetting though, not many people seemed to of realized that he was there. Instead of going around to those places, Edmund decided to explore the great big U in which a lot of people usually came in and out of during the day. He guessed that's where they all lived. They looked like his winter shack, only bigger and more decorative! Some of the people here should become those people who design houses!
It was a few minutes before Edmund decided on a house. It looked so big and shiny and bright, even though it was dark outside! He would of knocked if he could, but he was a ghost, and it was probable that no one would hear him, so he just ghosted through the door. This cabin was filled with sleeping people. From the moonlight, Edmund could tell that they had blonde hair and some had instruments and archery sets next to their beds. For a moment, he thought that this was Ryan's cabin, but then decided that his friend wouldn't be able to stand somewhere with an atmosphere of such happiness.
His small brain started to think up of stories about these people and their instruments. After a few minutes, Edmund unconsciously started drifting into the imagination, dream world; he wasn't asleep or on earth though. It looked almost like a never ending hall, not all white, but a really pale, bright color. What he liked most though, was that it was filled with people's thoughts and dreams. Everyone seemed as if they were in their own little bubble, Edmund included. He watched various shapes float past him; some formulated into thoughts and verifiable objects, Edmund grinned, starting to pick out and name everything that floated by.
He remembered meeting someone here once, and wondered if he could do that again. The man he had met had been so nice... then again, he wasn't sure if he had been an exception or what to the "I can't see you" rule. It seemed as if anything was possible in this dream world, like people seeing him that wouldn't normally be able to do so... Looking around, Edmund's face split into a grin. "ECHO!!" he called, his voice reverberated endlessly, along with his childish giggling.

Jackson loved being asleep, he loved that in dream world he was a normal guy. No other kids of Greek gods surrounding him, just him and what ever his subconscious created. Tonight his dream was in lying in the sun on a white, sandy beach on some island. There was nothing there but him, the water, the sand, and the sun; of course there was the sun. It was like he could never have a dream where it was nighttime anymore, maybe this was his dad's way of always keeping an eye on him. Then again, he always felt his father looking at him.
"Echo"came a voice seemingly from the sky, Jackson looked around, but saw no one. When no sound came again, he went back to sunbathing on the beach. His body seemed to soak up the sun, it also seemed to energized him as well. If only he felt like this every day, if only the sun could make him feel so powerful.
In that moment, Jackson dream created something new a guy with a Mr. Pibb on a tray, Jackson's favorite drink. Jackson smiled as the unfamiliar guy handed him the drink. That is what Jackson loved about dreams, anything he wanted could happen. Jackson took a drink, it was like the best he had ever drank in his life. He couldn't help but to smile, this dream was perfect. Jackson looked back at the ocean. He felt like someone or something was watching him, but then again maybe it was just the sun. It did always seem like his father was watching him but this was different. It felt like someone he didn't know was in his dream with him, but he didn't see anyone different.
"Hello?" Jackson asked, not sure if he wanted an answer.

Dreams were so interesting to Edmund. Not that they were his... they were other people's, but he loved people watching! He watched different thing float infront of him. Everyone absorbed in their own little world and he, Ed, could watch! It was so exciting for him; he was quite sure that he got the rejected or past thoughts, but they were things to watch and float and count anyways. He saw a sheep, a fish, a Dr. Seuss book that had a yellow cover and oddly drawn fish on it. Edmund remembered when he was little, his mother would read to him. They had read Sesame Street books, one word books, Dr. Seuss books... all so entertaining! At least he could almost see them now. When he came into this realm, sometimes people's dreams played out infront of him like a movie. It wasn't that Edmund wanted to impose on their dreams, it was just that the personal bubble or stray object floated too close to him. Even when it did happen though, it didn't seem like anyone realized that there was a dead kid invading their dream. Good thing too... Edmund didn't want to scare them awake.
He remembered different dreams that he had had when he was alive. There was always that occasional dream that every kid remembered, even though they had had it when they were like, three or four. They were usually nightmares. Almost every night Edmund would wake up from something and crawl into his mother's bed. Ah, those were the good old ancient days. Then, when he was four... everything changed. Edmund wondered if he could find his mom here... it seemed like the dreams were from all over the place, which was awesome!
At that moment, he decided to look down. If this hall went forever sideways, why not up and down? Sure enough, the ground that he thought was there wasn't anymore and he was staring into an endless pale abyss. That's when he saw something very bright... almost as bright as the sun. The eight year old grinned, attracted to the bright light; Edmund started floating downwards. He saw a beach and a guy that was still looking up. "HI!" Edmund yelped in excitement. "So you did hear me! That's great! Not many people do, they're off in their own little world so fast they don't have time to!" he laughed. Awesome! This guy must of heard Edmund yell echo before he was too deep asleep, and that meant he could see him! "Nice to meet you! What's your name? What's your favorite color?!" he rambled, looking at the guy with a grin on his face. "Oh... is this your dream? It's so nice and sunny! What's this place called? Isn't it the beach? I saw it a few places but haven't been. Is it fun here?!"
OOC: Here ya go ^^ Sorry, he's a bit of a talker since he doesn't get to do it with people that often IC: 496

Jackson was shocked, there was a little boy floating towards him asking him questions at 90 miles an hour. Jackson couldn't help but to smile at the boy, there was just something about him that seemed to put Jackson at ease.
"Well, my name is Jackson. My favorite color is Yellow" said Jackson with a smile, who was this kid that had just slipped into his dream. Jackson had heard once that your mind couldn't create people, so had he seen this kid before and his brain created him into the dream world? It didn't seem like that was the reason, this boy was different. He seemed like a creation all to himself like he wasn't a part of this dream at all, almost like he didn't belong here at all.
Jackson looked around to see if the dream had changed any but he was still on the beach, the sun was still beating down on him, he could still feel the sand between his toes and fingers. He then remembered the boys questions.
"This is a beach that my mind creates sometimes, especially when I need to relax or escape myself. It's sunny because I think it's my dads way of watching me in my dreams or at least that is what i like to think. My dad is Apollo, I live in the really shiny cabin" said Jackson looking at the boy with a smile. He loved that the boy seemed happy, which was very different especially having to live in this camp where nothing ever seemed to go the right way. Jackson looked down at the sand, expecting the entire dream to change now since this boy had entered but it didn't it stayed the same. Jackson's feeling had changed though, he didn't feel the same anymore. He wasn't calm, part of him felt like this guy could do anything inside of his dream. What if the guy was evil could he kill him in his sleep? Was this going to be some messed up horror film where Jackson was the victim? Granted, he didn't seem evil just a harmless little boy but looks could be deceiving, he had learned that alot about this camp. Jackson smiled up at the boy hopefully to ease him so he wouldn't kill Jackson.
"So who are you and why are you in my dream? " Jackson asked, hopefully not coming off mean, just curious and slightly frightened.

Edmund carefully watched the other boy's reaction to his presence. It seemed pleasant enough. This was going to be yet another awesome night! The dead eight year old bobbed and floated around as he waited for the older boy's answer, his mind going in a hundred different directions at once. Who was this boy and was he from that Sunny cabin? Sure, Ed may of floated in there, but that didn't mean that it was a kid from that Cabin... he could meet anyone from anywhere in this place! Although he did have that blonde hair and happy, shiny look... it was hard to explain. But still, other demigods besides the people in the Sun cabin had blonde hair... right? Ryan had blonde-ish hair... but he hadn't been in that Cabin. Then again, it had been a while since they had seen eachother last; he could of changed. Unlike Edmund, he was alive; he aged.
"Ooooh Jackson's a nice name!" he giggled. "I've been hearing about another person named Percy Jackson... are you two related?" Edmund asked, tilting his head curiously. That was around the Camp, anyway... he had to keep reminding himself that this kid could of been from anywhere. "Are you one of those people who likes using their last name as their first name? With to Jacksons around, if you know him, it must be confusing," he laughed, bouncing around, absolutely ecstatic that he was talking with another human. "YELLOW! That's such a nice color! So shiny and bright and smiley!" Edmund grinned widely. "LIKE THE SUN!!! I saw a Sunny D commercial when I was at Alex's house and I always saw the sun when I was out playing... I still see it and it's always so warm!" Edmund smiled, hoping that Jackson didn't mind an energetic eight year old kid.
"The beach you create is really nice... not so much garbage, which is good for Earth," Edmund nodded, remembering what Alex had told him about garbage and pollution once. "Really? Awww that's so nice. Do you talk to him often?" Even though Ed had never had a dad, he wasn't jealous of people who did have one, he was curious. Where they like a mother just more... boy-ish? "Apollo owns that big shiny cabin?!" Edmund nearly shrieked, his eyes shining in awe. "I was just in there! SO YOU ARE FROM THAT CAMP!" he yelped, happy beyond measure. "It's so nice and pretty and happy looking... Are your siblings living with you too then?" Edmund had soon caught on that there was usually a parent and then the cabin was filled with that parents kids, so that made them all brothers and sisters... how nice! "How are they? How's it living in a shiny cabin? Do you have to clean it a lot to make it stay that way?" the eight year old asked in a ramble.
"Oh... sorry, so silly of me," Edmund giggled shyly. "My name's Edmund, but I go by anything else you give me. Ed, Eddie, Edster... but those are the only ones I've heard," he beamed. "Because you could see me! I don't get many people to see me... so I don't actually get to talk to people often. I was playing with the hall echos and I realized you could hear me, so I wanted to meet you! I really like the beach and the sun too," he added randomly.
OOC: Lol, I think I could diagnose him with ADHD like the other demis xD Sorry... lots of rants o.o IC: 590

Jackson stares in shock at the boy now completely taking over his dream and the fact that someone that small could spew out so many words. Jackson smiled and started to laugh, he wasn't even sure why, maybe it was the craziness that some boy had came into his dream just to ask his questions. He had to replay the questions inside of his head to make sure that he could answer them all.
"Jackson is my first name and trust me, I have no relation to Percy. My full name is Jackson Daniel Samuels and I come from Manhattan, New York but now I live at Camp Half-Blood."said Jackson as he answered the first batch of questions from the kid. He took a breath before he continued to the next ones.
"No, I don't talk to my dad often but I kind of wish I did. I have only talked to him once and that was years ago.My cabin in the shiny one, it is made to look like gold when the sun hits it just right. Are you from the camp? One of Hypnos kids?" asked Jackson, he had heard about them but he had never met one but he knew they could do something to people about sleep, but he wasn't sure what all they could do. And what did this kid mean that not many people could see him, did he have an invisiablity cloak or something? Jackson wasn't sure who this kid was but he still wasn't frightened of him, in fact he was rather intrigued that this boy was in his dream and that he seemed so happy about life. Was this some sign from the gods? From his dad? That maybe he should start being happy about life and no some emo kid that he had become lately at this camp.
Jackson looked at the boy still floating above him.
"I am glad that you like my beach, I like it to. It makes me happy especially the sun. The way it hits you and makes you feel so happy. People say it's the vitamin D but I think it's my dad telling one of his poems making people happy" said Jackson, he felt so stupid sharing that with anyone but he didn't feel like this kid would tell anyone he seemed cool enough.
"I think I will call you Ed, if you don't mind. That's a good solid name. Can you tell me what you are doing in my dream. I mean I think I am still dreaming" said Jackson looking around waiting for the boy to respond.

Edmund bounced in excitement as he waited in anticipation for the older boy's response. For a moment, it looked as if he had taken Jackson completely off guard. Ed's face split into an apologetic grin; it was seldom that he had the chance to talk to people who answered him back. This was so exciting. Then the older boy started laughing. Edmund started to feel, if possible, even more giddy than before. He started giggling himself. Why? He had no idea; maybe laughter, like yawning, was contagious... but in a very, very positive way! Laughter was good for a person's health! Or that what Alex had said, anyway. ".... did you get all of them?!" Edmund laughed, grinning ear to ear and not caring if he sounded ridiculous. It was a kid's job to have fun... and right now he was having the time of his life!
"Oh, it is?! That's a really interesting first name... the only other Jackson I've heard of is Percy... and Jackson is obviously his last name!" the eight year old nodded as if he was stating one of the most important facts that his young brain had managed to attain. "That's a really nice name! I just remember my name's Edmund... I don't think I have a long fancy name like you do," he giggled. At the mention of Manhattan, the young boy's eyes lit up in awe. "Wooooow! Manhattan! I visited there... at least I think I did... it was really big with lots of buildings and shiny cars I think. I didn't see cars much... only when I was at Alex's house and his dad's car was in the driveway. There are so many different colors, and they all look so different! The place I went had lots and lots of cars! Probably enough to cover the entire planet," he giggled. "Camp Half Blood!" he repeated joyously. Yes now he knew that this kid was from the Camp. Edmund had been listening into enough conversations to gather that he was indeed hanging around a place called Camp Half Blood. "I've been floating around there for a few weeks... it's been sooo much fun! I've seen so much and I love it! The only sad thing is that almost no one can see me... I've tried to talk to a few people and not many can see or hear me, but you can now, which makes me really happy!" he enlightened, beaming at Jackson.
"You don't?" Ed asked, tilting his head. "Well, that's okay. I'm sure your dad thinks about all of you a lot! What does he do?" he asked curiously. This man Apollo, and everyone else's parents whose kids lived in Cabins had to be mighty busy if they couldn't visit and take care of their own kids. Even though he had listened and had been floating around for weeks, Edmund still hadn't caught onto the drift and concept of gods being parents to multiple kids. Edmund nodded his head really fast. "I like the shiny one a lot! I was just in there... it was the first one that caught my attention... the Cabin with the pointy wire and animal with horns out of it's mouth looks scary...." he mused. Then his brain switched track as gold was mentioned. "That's sooo awesome!" he giggled. "Does it get super shiny then?! Could you sell the Cabin and then split the money with your brothers and sisters? I heard that gold is worth a lot," it made perfect logical sense to the eight year old. Sell the golden Cabin and then buy lots of things... like fluffy bunnies and cute puppies!
"Ummmm no I don't think so. I ghosted out of the ground; it was so dark down there. I saw someone else escaping, so I decided to follow him! I'm really happy I did; I went traveling around and then I finally saw this big forest. I used to live in a forest, so I thought it was mine, and then I followed it out and ended up at your Camp and I've been there ever since!" he concluded with a smile. "OH! What's a Hypnos?! Is it someone who puts you under a spell? I heard about them once!" The small child beamed. "The sun is really good... Alex said it helps life grow! I really like the sun because then it means that it's usually warm outside." He nodded happily in agreement. "Your dad writes poetry?" Edmund squeaked, looking at Jackson with awe. "Your dad must be really busy..." The eight year old had never really tried poetry, but he knew that most of it was almost like Dr. Seuss books, as in it rhymed. That was the extent of his knowledge.
"I don't mind at all. I quite like that name... it's the one people call me most often when they can call me that is," he giggled. "Nothing in particular! Just having fun and talking with you," he said simply. "Yes, you're still dreaming. I came here before... lots of time. I think it's your subcon... subcon... the place you go where you think and dream. It's a big grown up word and I can't say it, to many syll-ya-bulls. You noticed me before going off in your own little bubble, so that meant I could still come talk to you. I'm really glad I did." Jackson was proving to be so much fun to be around! They were going to be such good friends. He really liked this boy and hoped that he could see him around Camp. That made him wonder: in the waking world would Jackson be able to see him? Hear him? Edmund wasn't sure, but he was going to enjoy the time he had with him now for sure!
OOC: O.O Sorry about that length... Ed likes to talk IC: 1,006
