Ryan had never been much of a runner. Okay, scrap that. He had been, when he was younger. He did anything, and everything, in his power to escape training from his mother aunt. It never worked. At camp though, he could deal with everything. It was nothing like Kath's place. He had had no reason to run from anything. Then he had gotten the quest. He let a camper die. He came back with a broken Avery. He started a war. He failed. And he blamed himself for all of it. He didn't care if Avery would hit him for it. He deserved whatever he got now, and he knew it. Most of the time, he did what he had been taught: he sucked it up. He had broken down once, and he wasn't going to do it again. Ryan was semi-kinda back. Most days he could put on a mask. Put up an either mute or I'm fine front. Act like he no longer cared.
Then, there were those days that all the gossip, questions , and guilt got to him. Those were the times that he went back to his running days. He knew he couldn't leave the camp. Not after what he had started. He had to be there to help end it. So, he ran to the next best place: somewhere where the campers rarely went. The strawberry fields. Ryan let himself get lost them; he didn't care if he would be able to get himself back out or not. He just couldn't deal with being around camp at the moment. Once he got exhausted, he just let himself collapse onto the ground. Usually kids of Demeter would be in here, tending the strawberries, but he doubted that they would get this far into the field this early in the day, so he was relatively safe. Ryan made the executive the decision to strip off his weapons shop (or in this case just his swords and staff), and then laid down on his back, careful not to use his left arm.
The fifteen year old sighed, and then just looked up at the sky. Ryan made himself stay still for a moment. It was something that he usually hated, but he almost felt it necessary right now. He had never really come to appreciate any of the nature around camp (except the forest), but looking at the heavens now, it almost put his mind at ease. Almost. The sky was so...peaceful. When his mind processed that, it almost made him nauseous. While it looked all nice with the clouds and birds, the gods were up there tampering with everyone's lives.

Kevin had been wondering around the camp today, having already done most of his work for the day, including his training. He had a lot on his mind, particularly because of the strange day that he had recently involving another child of the wind gods. He had never felt so sure, and so confused of anything at the same time in his entire life. He could use some time to think to himself, and no place seemed like a better place for that than the middle of the strawberry fields. It amazed him how sometimes it seemed like a well fielded place, and at the same time, it sometimes seemed so wild and untamed. As if there was no way to control it in the slightest. He supposed it didn't really matter. He could feel a small cold radiating from him again against his will. He closed his eyes as he walked, allowing his instincts to guide him through the field, they usually led him pretty well. The cold receded. It was acting up more than it ever had before, and it was beginning to worry him at this point.
As he continued on, his long black hair blew gently in the breeze, his shirt resting on his shoulder, revealing his athletic build. It was just so hot today, at least to him it was. Since he was out by himself, he didn't see any harm in having the shirt off. Small beads of sweat clung to his body as he continued walking deeper into the fields. Sometimes it was a major drag being born of the snow goddess. When most people were comfortable, he felt like he was sitting in an oven. He had sometimes taken to carrying around a big bottle of ice water just to keep himself cool. Unfortunately, he had forgotten in today. While walking, he suddenly realized that there was someone laying down not more than 20 feet away from him. He stopped and wiped away a little sweat from his brow. "Hey, who's there?" He called out quietly to the person, the wind picking up a bit as he spoke, cooling a degree. A soft sigh escaped his lips. He sometimes really hated it when things like that happened. The wind would respond to his very voice at times, especially when he spoke softly. "You alright?" He added to his original query.
It was often that he found himself in this area, and when he did it was very rare to actually find anyone out here. Well, aside from the Demeter campers. But even then, at this time of day, it was usually secluded. Maybe that was why this person was out here and he was likely intruding on their solitude and serenity. This made him feel a little bad, but, he also felt he should at least find out who it is before he takes off.

You're up there somewhere... I know you are, Ryan muttered internally, his blue-grey eyes still searching in the sky. Aria had died honorably, on a quest. With him. He shouldn't have even of taken her, but she had been one of the only people at camp that he almost liked, and almost even trusted. Heck, he did trust her when they were on the quest. It was probably her mistake in trusting him. Take a boat out to a location that he didn't even know. How much stupider could he get? What had he been expecting? To find a nice island? To come back with actual success? Well, unfortunately the prophecy had been fulfilled. Personal success, not so much. Gods, he'd probably get beat up from the inside out by her when he finally died. Then again, he probably did deserve it.
He exhaled, giving in, and letting his mind wander. It was usually bad wandering, his thoughts would just eat him up and spit him out, but today, he just.. didn't care. Ryan just let himself be. The field underneath him, and the sun on him were almost making him feel drowsy. He made half an effort to make himself stay awake. The demigod boy hadn't had proper sleep in, well, forever. Now that he returned from the quest, his sleeping habits had gotten all the worse. Nightmares. Factual nightmares, had been flashing infront of him every time he so much closed his eyes. His eyes fluttered closed in a doze. Flash. Boat. Flash. Avery's head. Flash. Avery and Aria in the water. Flash. Aria turning around, her eyes empty. Ryan sat bolt upright, his left arm grazing the ground. He gave a slight grimace as all the cuts got strained. That last image definitely woke him up. Reason why he never wanted to sleep justified.
He sighed, shaking his head and ordering himself to suck it up. Out of his peripheral vision, while shaking his head, he caught a sight of someone. He hadn't expected company. In fact, he had been trying to run away from it, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Suddenly, the ADHD fight/flight kicked in. No matter how run down he was, he was still semi-over active. He half jumped up and grabbed blindly at his staff. The staff that was now so much more than just his first weapon. The stranger beat him to the "who's there" portion. The fifteen year old hesitated slightly. Sad, he still hesitated to his name. He would probably sooner react to Avery's Little Buddy. When said only by Avery, of course. If anyone else dared call him that, they'd get a staff in the back of the head.
"Ryan," he said it a little more than a mutter. His voice sounded hoarse. Like he hadn't used it in ages, or just hadn't used it often; which he hadn't. Since coming back, he'd minimized talking, since he was always afraid his filter would burst again. Knowing the other person wouldn't be able to hear him, Ryan repeated his name, voice raised slightly. "Who are you?" he asked back. His voice had lost it's temperamental, demanding tone, but rather, sounded slack and dull. Next question was kind of harder to answer. Not really hard, but just... okay, fine. It was hard. "I'm fine..." he said in a slight monotone and with a shrug. Probably one of the biggest lies/understatements that he had made in his life.
OOC: Yeah me neither xD Winging it hehehe. OMGODS this is almost like...2 months late... I'm so very sorry >.< I'm so horrible! IC: 603
