History::
Ellie was born on a trip to China with her mother, Jacquelyn and her grandmother. Her grandmother was chinese, so they gave her the middle name of YiAn, 'joyful peace'. She used to be happy and full of life, almost never shy. But as she grew up normally, or as normal as any demigod, that changed. She was teased and taunted a lot for always being 'the new kid', so she sort of shrank back into a shell.
She became quiet and slightly shy around those she didn't know. She started becoming somewhat antisocial and took up watching the sky and fire, trying to forget about regular school. She also took up an interest with animals and bullies. Hating animal crulety and trying to stand up to bullies, not that she was always sucessful, but she tried.
Then, one afternoon, while at the beach a few weeks ago, Ellie's temper cracked slightly and she made a wave. Her mother realized that she couldn't keep her in this sort of world any more. She went home and started to explain things to her. Ellie resisted slightly, trying not to believe her, but finally came to accept some of it. She is still slightly dazed and confused. She was dropped off at camp half blood, shy and not knowing what was in store for her. She was dropped off at camp on March 20th, 5 days later she was claimed.

"Guess what?" ChuDana asked YiAn one day as they were fetching water. Nine year old YiAn looked up. "What?" she asked, smiling. "We can finally go penguin-sledding?" she said hopefully.
"Uh...no." Chudana said. "I'm um...engaged to Futain." her sister said, blushing slightly.
"HIM?" YiAn asked, revolted and sticking her tongue out.
"Yes." Chudana said. "Him. So...I'll be going away for a while, but you still have dad."
"Oh. Right. Dad." YiAn muttered, turning away. "I'm going to the tent." she mumbled, getting up suddenly and running into the village. But she did not go to her home, she gazed out into the water and into the sky, small stars started to fan across the wide, now darkening sky. She heard footsteps behind her, she spun around. "What?" she said, seeing her father.
"I'm leaving too." he said in icy shortness, he turned on his heel and left. YiAn's hands curled into fists and she slammed them down. "WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP DOING THIS TO ME?!" she yelled in frustration. Small bits of ice cracked and a small wave rose out of the water as she thrusted her hands back. Shaoshou stopped in his tracks, hearing the ice cracking and slowly, deliberately, turned around, a mildly surprised look on his face along with a smirk. "Well done." he said coolly. "You've finally figured it out."
"You said I wasn't!" YiAn said, staring at him.
"Oh well, now you know. Better finding things out by yourself, isn't it?" Shaoshou said, smirking.
YiAn gripped the hilt of the small dagger that ChuDana had given her, and threw it at him. Her father sidestepped, the dagger coming an inch or two away from his shoulder. "I thought Chudana would of taught you the ways of the knife better." he said, looking at her, hard. "And you can finally go into the healing business."
"Oh, well." YiAn snorted, mimicking him. Shaoshou turned his back and left her. YiAn froze for a minute and looked at her hands. She was a Waterbender. She sighed and retrieved the dagger. Perhaps she could sharpen it and practice more with it later. She sat down and turned her attention to the stars.
"Would you be angry at Baba? Father?" she asked the sky. "Would you be angry with Jiejie? Older sister?" the stars just twinkled down at her. She turned and trudged back to the tent. Chudana was waiting for her.
"Meimei, little sister." she said. "Please don't be angry..."
YiAn glared at her. "To late for that." she snarled, sitting down and started to sharpen her knife.
"But why are you angry?" the fourteen year old asked quietly.
"Why?" YiAn asked, her temper bubbling up. "Because..." YiAn tried, but then, quite suddenly, her anger melted and she couldn't get the words out. "Because..." she tried again. Then stopped, feeling her eyes starting to blur. She forced herself to finish. "Everyone's l-leaving me." she whispered, her voice cracking. The hut fell in to silence. The next morning, when YiAn woke up, Chudana was gone.
