[/COLOR][/center] Cyrene walked to the beach just before curfew was restricted. She had a blanket in one hand and a few snacks in the other, just in case she got a little hungry. She also brought her Ipod with her, it was pink and on the back of it it had her name inscribed in little stick on diamonds. She felt the sand on her feet, it was a light bluish color from the light of the moon shining down towards the ground. The sand wasn't hot at all, it was cooled down from the nice cold wind blowing through her curly hair as she walked. Looking out onto the see, she seen the image of the moon and a few stars dance across the waves as they rolled onto the sandy surface of the beach. Cyrene loved the beach at night just as much as during the day, she just loved the night, she always thought of herself as a night out than an early bird sometimes. Even though she got up at 5am to jog every morning.
Going to where she wanted to on the beach, she laid out her blanket just close enough to the waves to where the water wouldn't reach her, since tide had already rolled by. Cyrene laid down on the blanket and popped her headphones into her ears and turned on the song Free by Zac Brown Band.
This song reminded her of the boy she had hung out with and died after she had declinded him for being his boyfriend. It made her sad to think of him, to tell the truth she really did like him. Heck almost loved him, Cyrene and him used to hang out everyday for almost a year. They made this song their song. [teal]I did love you.[/teal] she thought as she listened to the song. She would never feel the warmth of his skin, or the touch of his fingers on her face as he kissed her, and worse of all, she never got the chance to tell him that she loved him. The thought of him made Cyrene tear up, she never cried, but this thought broke her heart. As she thought, she thought of the talk she had with Jason about ever getting her heart broken, and she lied to him, her heart was breaking right now as she thought of Adonis. The song kept playing and the images of their adventures kept playing in her head, and the more the tears flowed down her face.

Allan had been walking on the beach for a while, enjoying the walk, having just left the nightly bonefire. It was a decent night, and he was cooling down after a long day of work at the forge, and was preparing for a late night of work as well. Allan spotted Cyrene sitting on the blanket, and crying.
"Ah, dang it."
Allan said with a shake of his head. Allan may be thick, but, like most males, can't stand to see a girl cry. Seeing that Cyrene is listening to an Ipod, he shook his head.
"She probably can't even hear me walking nearby."
Allan slowly approached Cyrene, letting her notice him first. He knew that it was getting dark out, and that cerfue would be soon. Allan had no idea what to do, but he felt that he should do something to help her.

As Cyrene laid on the beach, she couldn‘t help but cry, it just felt right to, she‘s been holding all this in for some time and she never had a good cry about the whole thing. Well except for the day that he died, she only cried that day and no more since then. It was healthy for her to cry once in a while she thought in her eyes of life. She rolled over and seen Allan walking up to her. She’s only known Allan from the Amory when her bow needed to be fixed or just walking by the Hephaestus cabin at times. Cyrene wiped her eyes quickly, sat up, and took her Ipod out of her ears. [teal]What are you doin out here? Shouldn‘t you be in the Amory or something?[/teal] she said spreading out the blanket a little more because it got bunched up.
She looked up at him and noticed how burly he actually was, never getting a good look at him when she seen him around camp. Cyrene then sat down and looked at the waves crashing, grabbed a water and started to drink, [teal]I guess you can sit down.[/teal]

Allan Grined down at Cyrene. He could see that she was rather attractive, but that was not the reason he was here. He could be thick, but not that thick.
"Hey, I can like the beach as much as anyone else. I find it rather calming."
Allan nods, and sat down on the offered Blanket, and stared out at the crashing waves intently.
"Some times after a long day at camp, I come here to relax, that is all. I am sorry to bother you, but I saw you crying. It looked like you needed someone to talk to. That pluss, I can never stand to see someone crying."
Allan said with another grin. Allan looked one way down the beach then the other.
"So what are you doing out on the beach, crying alone, if you don't mind me asking?

Cyrene listened to his response, she didn‘t know why, she couldn‘t be catty to guys. It didn‘t work as well as girls, because they always took it personal. [teal]Well seems like we have something in common. I always come out here. Especially when I want to think. You know?[/teal] she said to him tilting her head to the side. The wind started to blow again and her curly hair was in front of her face, she brushed it out of her face and put some behind to ear. Cyrene nodded, [teal]I‘m with ya. I like the camp, but some days I wonder why I‘m even here you know.[/teal] she said looking at him while he sat down next to her. She heard what he said about her crying, she was a little embarrassed by it, but hey, that‘s what you get for crying in public and not in the sanction of your own room.
Cyrene looked at Allan while he looked up and down the beach and asked why she had been crying. [teal]Oh….well it‘s just this song on here that reminded me of someone special that I….loved.[/teal] she said having a little trouble said the word. [teal]He died about five months ago, and I guess I never really had a good cry about it, and this song brought back a lot of happy memories. But sad at the same time cause he‘s not here for me to share them with you know?[/teal] she asked looking at him with big eyes. Cyrene looked down at the sand by the blanket and found a seashell that she didn‘t see there earlier. She picked it up and started to flip it around in her hands. She was a little nervous talking about it because she never told anyone about Adonis before.

Allan Grined at Cyrene, listening to her explination. Allan noded. While he had not yet suffered any losses like she had, he had lost friends in the battle of Manhattan, so he knew the loss of friends. Allan moved the sand around with his fingers while he thought. He was never the kind of person to get emotional over things.
"You must have really liked this person, for this kind of response from you. I know what it is like to loose people that were close, I lost a few good friends of mine during the battle of Manhattan, but not at the level you are talking about."
The thoughts of the battle of Manhattan brought Allan memmories of his past friends, and the fun they had, well, fun by the standards of Hapheastus cabin, probably not by the standards of the rest of the other campers. It also brought up memmories of the battle, and seeing his friends loosing their lives.
"The memmories hurt, I know that much."
Allan laid back, his head hit the sand, and sighed. He looked at the stars, and closed his eyes, thinking.
"I am not usually the kind to talk about feelings, but I feel that he would have not liked to see you upset by his memmories, if he felt that way about you. My friends would have hated me if I had gotten upset at their loss. No matter how much it hurt."

Cyrene kind of chuckled, [teal]It was more than like I think Allan. I loved him, we hung out every single day for a year. We just had this connection, and dumb me, I was scared of that connection so I declined him for a relationship with him, and then the next day he died. He didn‘t do suicide or anything.[/teal] she said letting loose a couple more tears. [teal]I heard about that battle from a couple of the kids here at camp, I‘m sorry. That had to be hard too.[/teal] she said putting her hand on his shoulder. She looked at him and seen him mess around with the sand, she put the sea shell that she found back down, [teal]Yeah they do, but I think memories make you stronger, like at being a better person I guess.[/teal] she said smiling a little up at him as she wiped a tear away.
The thing Cyrene learned from Adonis dieing was that you should live every moment and not take if for granted, or that person will one day be gone and you‘ll regret. She still regrets some of it, but right now, she was more understanding about her path. Cyrene watched as Allan laid back in the sand, looking like the blanket was a couple inches too short. She watched as he closed his eyes and talked. She laid back where she propped up on her elbows, [teal]Yeah your right. Just think about how they’re not gone, it’s just a see you later kind of thing. Right?[/teal] she asked staring out at the ocean and then looking at him, his eyes still being closed.

Allan thought over what Cyrene had said. He nodded to what she said. "Sounds like the two of you were close, very close. It is good to have friends who you are that close to." Allan noded to Cyrene's last comment. "Yeah, a friend should never be forgotten. I believe never say goodbye, but see you later is a good way to put it. You will always see them again in your memmories, so it counts." Allan stood back up, brushing sand out of his hair, and looked at his watch. "We had better get going, if we stay out here any later, we will be dodging harpies, and that won't be fun." Allan turned away to head back to camp. "I guess I will see you later around camp." Allan said with a grin. "If you ever need someone to talk to, don't worry about asking."

Cyrene smiled at the comment, [teal]Yeah we were.[/teal] she said looking at him. He heard him talk about how goodbye is never a goodbye, just a see you later, and now she strongly believed it now. Cyrene looked down at her Ipod to see the time also, [teal]Wow yeah it‘s been a while hasn‘t it. Hey gotta have some fun running right?[/teal] she said standing up and grabbing all of her stuff. It was nice to have someone to talk to at times, especially right now. [teal]Yeah I‘ll see you around camp. We should hang out again. And….thanks…again. I‘ll take up that offer.[/teal] she said giving him a soft smile as she walked towards her cabin.
End Thread.
