Alexx sat right out side Athena's cabin, her mothers cabin. She knew that she would need to go in soon, it was starting to get colder out, since it was getting darker. It was probably around eight or nine now. A cold breeze blew through, and Alexx shivered. She got up, and opened the door to the cabin, and walked in. It was colder out side, which would mean it was warmer inside. She went to grab one of her sweaters, and pulled it on, and went to the library. Even thought she was 13, and could read, she had trouble with english, because of her dyslexia, but she was always trying to read them, to see if she could.
She sat down in one of the chairs with a book, the one she was trying to read. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She opened it to the second chapter. After a few days she had managed to get to it, and she was pretty sure all the worlds were right, and even if they weren't, they made sense to her. She just wanted to try to see if she could read the book in english.

It was one of the less-enjoyable parts of being one of the older campers, as well as one of the counselor: troublemaker round-up. With as many campers as there were getting to be since two years ago, there tended to me a few every now and again that didn’t particularly like staying within the main part of the camp, or didn’t think curfew applied to them, or enjoyed simply making as much noise as humanly possible. This evening it had been soap in one of the courtyard fountains. It had been pinned down to three of the Hermes campers goaded on by their peers; no surprise there. But even after they had been caught it had taken ages and a lot of supervision to make sure they didn’t do anything else stupid while they cleaned up the mess they’d made. On the bright side, the lawn around the garden was a lot cleaner now.
Annabeth heaved a sigh, wringing the water from her hair from where she’d had to wash the soap out. It had been a bit of a struggle to get the three troublemakers, and their cabin leaders sadly enough, under control when it had turned into a throw-soap-at-everyone-you-can fight. Luckily, Clarisse had been one of the people helping to supervise and she had a way with calming people down. That is to say, she send one of the kids back to their cabin with a bleeding nose. Some things never changed.
She pushed open the door to Cabin 6, Athena Cabin, and went inside. It was nice to get out of the cool breeze and into the warm, welcoming cabin. She was about to go over and open up her laptop to continue what she’d been working on when she noticed Alexx working at reading her English book. She’d never really disturbed her half-sister before when she was doing that, but for some reason, it intrigued her more than usual this time. A lot of campers did their best to stay away from the English language due to the dyslexia inherent with being a demigod. But Alexx was different; she seemed to seek it out. And Annabeth quite admired her for that. “How’s your book going?” she asked, hoping the other girl wouldn’t mind the interruption.

Alexx flipped the page, and heard some one, since there was hardly any one in the cabin, she assumed it was Annabeth. Looking up, she was proved right, it was her half sister. Smiling, and putting her book mark in, Alexx decided to talk to Annabeth for a bit. It's going good, actually quiet good. She said, she knew she was one of the rare demi gods who actually liked reading in English, and you couldn't say that she liked reading in English, it just gave her a challenge, one that she wouldn't give up on. She was rather a determined girl, after all, she had more or less living on her own since she was little. Alexx sat up a bit straighter and crossed her legs in the chair she was sitting in.
Alexx wasn't really used to being in the same room with Annabeth, except for at meals, since they had to sit at the same table, and everything. Since Annabeth was older than her, and she always hung around Percy Jackson, whom Alexx had heard about and seen, but never actually met. She was used to being alone, pretty much had all of her live, except for at school, when she was with Jim getting to Camp Half Blood she had been alone. She shook the thoughts from her mind, and made sure she was listening to Annabeth, she would hate to miss some thing that she had said, even thought she could blame it on the ADHD, she hated to.

Annabeth pulled up a chair, seeing as Alexx seemed perfectly open to just talking. She felt kind of bad that she didn’t really know her own half-sister better. She had grown up close to everyone in her cabin, but since things started to get more and more crazy she just didn’t have as much time or energy. Unfortunately, it was more or less during that time that Alexx had come to stay in the Athena cabin. Well, there was time now, if energy was a little short - Annabeth would just get around that obstacle - and Annabeth planned on using it.
“That’s good to hear.” She looked at the title of the book and the weird font was murder on her eyes. After a moment she managed to get enough of the title to recognize the name. “I think I’ve heard of that series… never read it though. One of my step-brothers might have. What’s it about?” Her step-brothers had read the first one, she thought, but all she gathered from their energetic little-boys interpretation was that it involved waving twigs in the air and shouting random latin words. Then again, her step-brothers didn’t always have the best grasp on literature.

Alexx tried to think of a way to phrase what the book was about, it was rather difficult, seeing as she wasn't one hundred percent sure she was even reading the words right. It's about a boy, whose parents were killed when he was a year old, and the man who killed his parents is.. Um, back, I just you could say. And he's got to figure out how to kill him. And he goes to this school for wizards in England/ and he has his two best friends. She said, hoping it didn't sound weird, it sounded good enough to her, but she could never be too sure. It's all rather confusing... She tacked on, it had to be confusing for mortals too right ? It was for a daughter of Athena, who is smarter than most average mortals.

Annabeth nodded slightly, then smiled. “Well, that sounds a lot better than the way my step-brothers described it! They only really talked about monsters and fights and blowing stuff up. But then again, that’s normal for them.” She laughed, and added, “Maybe I’ll see if I can sneak the book from their room during the school year and try to read it myself. Sounds interesting.” She sat back, tucking a strand of hair that had come loose from her ponytail back behind her ear.
She traced the lines on the table with her finger. “I suppose Percy would be proud I’m not reading something about architecture or something like that. You’ll be his hero.” She let out a laugh. She paused and cleared her throat. “You did great at archery earlier, by the way. When we had practice with Chiron. You really have a knack for that, Alexx.”
((OOC: Sorry for the delay. My muse for this was so low for some reason. Was hard to get it more than one paragraph, lol!))

(Haha, its okaii, I know the feeling... Plus I think my muse is dying a bit too... It took me three days to write up Isobel's app...) Alexx's smile grew a bit bigger, it was one thing to be complemented or praised by one of the older demigods, especially one who had been here through the fight with the Titans, but it was another, for herself, for it to be Annabeth, her half sister, the leader of her cabin, and she had been here for so long, plus she was a hero in Alexx's eyes, and probably a lot of other younger campers.
Thanks. She said, a bit quieter than she normally spoke, but still at a good level, and her was sure she had blushed in there a bit, although she could never tell, even thought it said in books that they felt there cheeks warm, it never happened to her. Though, the authors could have been exaggerating.
