I am a legend in my own mind+ + +everything I can’t say is irrelevant. Rachel had made a promise to herself that she would stay in the Big House in her room and not out in the open where any demi-god could approach. She contemplated wearing a sign that read: “Beware of Oracle.” But these demi-dorks wouldn’t heed the warning, that much she knew. Besides Rachel didn’t liked being locked up. You can’t cage a lion or whatever the saying was. Rachel rolled her eyes and drug her fingers carelessly through her hair.
If today could get any more boring she would love to see it. Couldn’t Percy and Annabeth back from there quest yet? She had already sent that son of Ares and that nice Adonia girl off on a quest toward doom, Rachel didn’t want to know who she would send next. Camp was thinning out fast, there wouldn’t be many half-bloods left here if she kept up the fortune telling gig. Then it hit her. What if that was what they wanted? Rachel had no idea who they was but it would be the perfect way to over throw the Camp. Clear out as many demi-gods as possible and then strike.
“Oh that’s evil.” Rachel muttered a loud. Her brow furrowed as she went over her version of the evil plot in her head. Conspiracy theories were fun and time consuming. Rachel stopped playing with her hair and stared down the hill. While little fictional scenarios played through Rachel’s head the dragon that guarded Thalia’s Pine, Peleus, was starting to find Rachel’s scarf quite fascinating. Her thoughts were interrupted by a slight tug. Rachel glanced around behind her and came face to face with the little dragon, a portion of her scarf hanging from its mouth. More startled than anything she let out a shriek of surprise. Peleus dropped the scarf and blinked at Rachel.
She backed away in a hurry from the dragon and ended up losing her balance and tumbled backward down Half-Blood Hill. Only Rachel would be able to do such a thing. She managed to right herself and stopped toward the bottom. The world was spinning and her stomach got that queasy I’m gonna vom felling. Rachel shut her eyes tight and tried to keep her lunch down. She prayed no one such that debacle. It was embarrassing. Rachel lifted her scarf and groaned.
“Sick. Dragon drool.” She glared back up the hill. “Stupid dragon.” OUTFIT: H E R E

do you think you're ready we were born for this~*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*~ Okay, so maybe having a little bit of free time in the Apollo cabin's schedule wasn't as fun as Harper had hoped. Of course she had grabbed her notebook and a pen so she could get some writing done... but so far she hadn't seen anything inspiring around camp that got her mind turning to write. The only times she felt inspired these days was when she was around... no. No, she would not allow herself to think Gavin's name again when he was already occupying her mind more so than was probably healthy.
Harper hardly realized that she had come to Half-Blood Hill until Peleus was breathing down her neck, snorting hot breath through her chocolate brown hair. The dragon, while not very friendly with intruders, seemed to have a soft spot for some of the campers it saw on a regular basis - Harper being one of them. The dragon snorted into Harper's hair again, and the daughter of Apollo just chuckled and slowly reached out to pat the creature's nose. Peleus allowed her to do so before he turned his head to look down the hill at a figure that was hunched over at the base. The dragon just snorted again before laying down and resuming his rest. Harper smiled. She sword that the dragon slept more than he acted as a guard.
Then her gaze returned to the figure at the bottom of the slope. It was definitely female, the scarf around her neck and the feminine articles of clothing were enough to tip Harper off. Finally, some female company. Adonia, the sister she usually spoke to, had gone on a quest and now Harper practically felt alone at camp. The only other person she really spoke to now was none other than the infuriating Gavin Sawyer, and... damn it, his name had managed to weasel its way into her head again. Why couldn't she stop thinking about him? This was beginning to get ridiculous - beyond Harper's limits of patience. Maybe this girl, whoever she was, would be able to provide a viable distraction.
Harper started down the hill, a kind smile on her face. "Bright colors catch Peleus's eye," she commented, gesutring towards the girl's scarf. "Sorry if he was a little mean. Dragons have a tendency to do that." She made a face as she remembered a specific incident with Peleus a year or two back. It had cost her one of her favorite shorts and a rather expensive pair of jeans her mother had gotten for her for Christmas one year. She still hadn't really forgiven Peleus for it.
That was when the daughter of Apollo noticed the girl's fiery red hair. Harper's eyes widened, but she still managed to keep a smile on her face. "You're Rachel, right? The Oracle?" Harper almost felt as though she were in the presence of a celebrity, a prophecy-telling, demi-god version of a celebrity. Her chocolate brown eyes lit up with excitement and eagerness at who she'd found, and Harper already knew that she was in for an interesting meeting.

Rachel was fairly certain no one had witnessed as she made her not so graceful trip downhill. Gravity sucked that way. She rubbed her head and began to pick out the pieces of grass. Glancing down to her knees she saw green and brown smudges. They didn’t hurt until she paid them any mind. Rachel winced and rubbed her grass-stained legs gently, grumbling to herself about Peleus and dragons and how a guard dog would be safer. She exhaled blowing a strand of her messy hair out of her face, so much for spending time and energy on fixing it this morning. Had she known she would have been going on a trip she wouldn’t have bothered.
Her back straightened at the sound of another’s voice. Fantastic, someone had seen the whole thing. Couldn’t she have that kind of jedi mind power as part of her Oracle deal? This is not the Oracle you are looking for! She thought before turning to the girl. Rachel had seen this camper around before while sitting off in the background of camp pretending to be invisible. She scoffed and looked at her tattered and slightly singed scarf. “Good thing I got this on sale then right?” She tossed it carelessly over her shoulder slapping to her back still wet with drool. Rachel tensed and made a face as the scarf hit the back of her shirt. She gave a shudder and moved a little so she could see the girl better. With a smile she glanced over at her, “I’d say next I’ll make sure to go goth, but I don’t think there will be a next time. I’m swearing off dragons.” Rachel’s knees and elbows were now red from the tumble. She groaned slightly. “And hills. Hills are defiantly not me proof.”Rachel was about to introduce herself but the demi-god girl beat her too it. She blinked. With a small smile Rachel recovered from the initial and pleasant shock. She dusted her hands off and outstretched her arms. “Miss Dare. How can I help you child?” Rachel said in her best Miss Cleo accent. She chuckled a little and tried to wipe off the grass stain on her knees with the undamaged part of her scarf. She saw how excited the girl was and if she could stand Rachel would have gotten up and ran. Her head was still spinning slightly though. “I’ve seen you around, talking with that broody grungy looking guy.” She muttered. “You know always looks like he just flushed his goldfish down the toilet?” Rachel froze for a moment. Her head began to spin faster and her head hit her chest. After a second her head jerked back up again, her eyes were green and her voice echoed sounding not like her own. You shall journey north, and find the armor of the Gods Double the fear, you will battle against the odds Be warned, the aegis of Athena has another Forged in secret for the warrior of the brothers Twins in twin cities look to the defeat of all One is fated to vanish over the falls He will sire a champion when all comes to an end Brave the betrayal of one you deemed a friend Rachel blinked and her eyes went back to normal. She had a far off look but she shook her head and continued cleaning her knees. She even continued on with the conversation prior to the interruption of prophetic proportions. “You two are cute together though. I don’t have to be the Oracle to see a future there. Just have to be a girl.” Rachel turned and looked back at the demi-god. She blinked, something didn’t feel right. Her head had stopped spinning all together now. Like it had gotten instantly better. Rachel sighed and rolled her eyes. Prophecy numero five.[/blockquote] OUTFIT: H E R E

do you think you're ready we were born for this~*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*~ When Harper woke up that morning, she never would have even guessed that she would be getting a prophecy today. She'd been at camp for a few years now, the first of which having been the great battle against Kronos. After that, she thought that she'd seen her fair amount of fighting and adventure and thought that, from here on out, life would be fairly peaceful and uneventful at Camp Half-Blood and that there would be nothing to worry about. While other campers seemed to be getting prophecies left and right, Harper never imagined that she would be one of the ones receiving them. So for the last few moments that she remained thankfully oblivious to her soon-to-be destiny, Harper was fairly care-free.
She laughed at the girl's joke about getting the scarf on sale. It had been so long since she'd talked about fashion that Harper had nearly forgotten how it felt to be talked to like a real teenage girl. She welcomed the joking around with open arms (metaphorically speaking, of course). "Yeah. Peleus is kind of the reason I haven't shopped at a store like Macy's or J.C Penny's in a very long time," Harper snickered, playing along. And she couldn't help but chuckle as the girl mentioned hills. Yeah, Harper also had experience with tumbling down Half-Blood Hill... actually, it had been her first year here when the fall had happened. But this girl had walked away without injury to anything except her pride - Harper had needed to get a splint on her left arm. "And trust me, I don't think hills like this one are anyone-proof. I know from experience." Harper's nose scrunched up just at the thought.
Harper's eyes widened further when her suspicions were proved correct - this was Rachel Dare, Camp Half-Blood's personal Oracle. She'd heard rumors and campers often talked about her... and Harper had even seen her in the background at camp activities. But never before had they officially met. In a way, the young daughter of Apollo felt as though she were in the presence of a celebrity. A mythological celebrity, but a celebrity nonetheless. She was actually pretty delighted to meet Rachel.
Until, of course, Rachel then mentioned a boy who could only be Gavin. With a groan, Harper ran her fingers through her long brown hair and just stood there awkwardly. "Yeah, that's Gavin. Trust me, that's just his typical brooding look. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the affection capacity for having a pet, let alone giving it a proper burial in a toilet." But then again, he's full of surprises, Harper added mentally, but no way was she going to admit that to a total stranger, even if it was the Oracle of Delphi. While Harper liked to think that she knew Gavin pretty well, the truth of it all was she barely knew him at all. Which, apparently, was more than anybody else at camp could say.
Gavin had sucked her thoughts into a whirlwind and so of course she was so occupied by them that she nearly missed the fact that Rachel's head had suddenly drooped. Her reaction was a bit delayed, but as soon as she noticed Harper extended a hand to help her. "Hey, are you-" She was then cut off as Rachel's head snapped up and from the Oracle's mouth another prophecy was dealt. Harper froze - her entire body seemed to tense up. Her hand dropped to her side, and suddenly the daughter of Apollo found that she was trembling. None of that sounded too good, and it quite honestly sounded like she'd just been dealt a quest. Quests meant danger. Adventure. Probably fighting. Injuries. Harper gulped - looks like her peaceful time at Camp Half-Blood had just been disrupted.
Harper desparately memorized the prophecy as the Oracle said it - repeating the words over and over again until they were ingrained in her memory. She was pretty sure she wouldn't get any repeats, so by the time Rachel ended the prophecy, Harper had it pretty much down. She could be a quick thinker when time called for it. She was so caught off-guard by the whole thing that when Rachel spoke again, she jumped. That was when she actually heard what the Oracle was saying, and Harper just let out a nervous laugh.
"Me and Gavin? I don't... I don't think it'll happen," Harper said hurriedly, her mind still a jumble from the sudden prophecy. Although just the thought of her and Gavin as a coupel sent unknown shivers down her spine - happy shivers. Her heart pounded at the thought of it, and suddenly Harper's mind was a place of chaos. This was all too much for her to handle. She put a hand on her temple, feeling it throb with the promise of an oncoming headache. "He... um... I don't think he's the type... for a relationship. Do you know you just gave me, uh, a prophecy? Like a quest type thing?" Harper felt like she was about to go insane. She felt like she was about to have a panic attack, and she was pretty sure just the idea of going on a quest made her sickly pale.

Rachel smirked at the half-blood when she said hills weren’t anyone proof. At least she wasn’t the only one to tumble down a hill. Made her feel slightly better about what just happened. She also couldn’t help but laugh when the girl mentioned the guy she was talking about, Gavin. Rachel could tell by the girl’s posture that she had something going on with this fella. She remembered the labyrinth a few years ago and how blind both Annabeth and Percy were to each other. Completely hopeless.
While in the past Rachel would normally catch on if something in the way of a prophecy happened but this time she didn’t notice anything. She kept right on going with the conversation after the fact. Though, she couldn’t exactly figure out the reason behind the look the demi-god was giving her. Maybe Rachel had strayed into a tender area with the whole Gavin. Rachel shook her head.
“I just assumed you two were together. I mean, it looked obvious. I’m sorry if--” She stopped realizing what must have happened. There wasn’t any other reason for the look she was receiving. Rachel exhaled and felt like crying. Why couldn’t she stop these prophecies? It was getting ridiculous now. That three more demi-gods gone now. Camp was vulnerable. Rachel took a piece of her red hair in her hand and began to braid it nervously.
When the girl confirmed that she had given a prophecy Rachel rolled her eyes and gave a defeated shrug. “It’s been happening a lot lately. Let me guess I foretold danger, death, and a lot of traveling?” Rachel shook her head and laid back on the grass staring up at the cloudy sky and the blue sky in the breaks of the clouds. She chewed on her bottom lip letting her mind wander for a minute. When she bit too hard she muttered and an ow rolled her head in the girl’s direction.
“I’m sorry. I don’t think I caught your name. I’d say I’m sorry about the prophecy thing but I’m beginning to sound like a broken record. Recently all who meet up with me end up getting a prophecy. It’s kind of bogus, but it would be the reason I have tried to make myself scarce around Camp.” Rachel sat up and stared out at camp. “Sorry if I have just ruined your life. I guess it would be safe to take my advice when I say you should tell Gavin what you feel for him and don’t try to deny feelings. I can see it in the way you spoke about him. He isn’t just a friend. And well, this might be your last chance. Sorry if I sound so ominous.” OUTFIT: H E R EWORD COUNT:455
