Celebrity Claim: Emilie De Ravin
Looks:: Addison is a girl with piercing light blue eyes that can also be seen as a stormy grey color when in the right light. These eyes are the mark of Athena, but so is the color of her blonde shoulder length hair. Normally she keeps it down, unless thinking or writing something down in her book. For the most part she likes to keep it short even if people have told her to let it grow out. But Addison has always thought that long hair is nothing but a nuisance and can get in the way. She’s never really liked her looks, and wished that she look more like her dad Matt who has the darkest brown hair she’s ever seen, and bright green eyes. Instead she is stuck like this, with fair skin and a nice smile. As for cloths, she always wears her favorite pair of worn in jeans and whatever t-shirt she can find. She has a pair of worn hiking boots but prefers her sandals over anything else.
Personality::
Addison can be a complete mystery to those who do not know her well, for the most part she tends to keep to herself. Always, she can be found studying or reading something one way or the other and hardly ever pays attention to anyone. You’d be lucky to ever get her attention, it’s not that she’s arrogant but more like distant. She’s a girl that’s tough but never shows it until it’s far too late for her intended target. For those that have not met her she can appear to be cold as well, blunt and far too stubborn.
She takes orders from no one, and it wouldn’t matter if you were a powerful God or the president for that matter. Still, to the few she does know Addison is loyal and carries that as an inner strength although she lacks the inability to trust anyone. This is a great fault of hers for sometimes strength lies on depending on those around you, which could leave her at a disadvantage. One thing to know about her, is that Addison is far from being mean or cruel which is sometimes what others mistake her to be. But really, she is only just rough around the edges.
Family:: Matt Shock (dad), Lee Shock (uncle)
History:: From the day she was born Addison had been claimed by Athena, her dad Matt Shock met the Goddess many years ago. As an archeologist he loved to travel the world and on one expedition he happened to make her acquaintance. He fell in love with Athena after only a few days of knowing her, but their time together was very brief for she had to leave him. It wouldn’t be until several months later that Matt would open his door to find a golden basket with a small baby girl inside whom he named Addison. At first he was surprised to find out the truth, but it didn’t take him too long to finally accept it as the truth. He was fully aware of the risks and thought that he would be able to protect her since her traveled so often. But trouble found Matt and the small child wherever they went, knowing that he could not keep her safe, Matt decided that the only thing to do was send her away in secret hoping that he could draw the dangers away long enough to give her a fighting chance in the world. And for awhile his plan seemed to work, he carried around some blankets and other possessions that had belonged to her drawing out strange creatures that he thought had only been myths.
Addison stayed with her uncle (Matt’s brother) who knew nothing about the kid; still he raised her all the same. When she turned five Matt made sure to send him a letter of a camp to send her to, a place where she could stay for awhile. Confused Addison’s uncle didn’t know what to think but followed his orders, taking Addison to Half-blood Camp; where she was eagerly taken in. As Addison grew up there she became angry with her father not really understanding why she had to be sent away, and confused as to what this new place was. Matt had never called, visited, or sent any kind of letter to her which made her resentful. But by the time she was seven Addison began to get small postcards coming in from all around the world or wherever Matt happened to travel. Her life with her own dad as far as she knew, existed only in the pictures from the cards. Sometimes he’d send her gifts, especially if it was her birthday.
Besides the two gifts from her supposed mother, Addison grew fond of receiving paperback books filled with stories that she sometimes thought she knew. After a while that’s all Addison seemed to do was read one book after the next and never leaving her cabin. When she turned ten though her rebellious side came out, and one night Addison ran away from the camp and someone showed up on her uncle’s doorstep. All she ever wanted was to go to school like kids her own age, most of the books she had were informational, but on occasion they were stories that painted a picture of school buildings and teachers. She had always liked how they sounded, but Addison did not realize how much danger she could be in outside of the camp. Strange creatures caught up with her though and she realized just how real it was, upsetting her uncle he told her to leave in a frightful rage. He didn’t mean it at the time but Addison wasn’t sure what to believe. On the run she tried to hide but was chased everywhere, Addison had barely managed to make it back to the camp in one piece. Realizing the mess she had made, Addison was in a lot of trouble and not only with the camp but her dad as well.
In her anger, Addison wrote out a very long letter about how much she hated her dad and sent it. And after that she stopped hearing from him altogether. Sometimes a book would still come for her in the mail, but it was never from him. Every since then she hasn’t received a postcard yet, so Addison started practicing on her own and staying up in the middle of the night to read her heart out. She didn’t plan on staying in the camp for long, just enough to become ready to fight whatever crossed her path. Then when she thought it was time Addison wanted to slip off into the night and find her dad to be reunited. Now at seventeen she is hoping for the right moment when to leave and find him, and to have a family of her own.

Roleplaying Experience::5 years
Sample RP:: The trees had always meant a place of shelter, with branches bending and weaving close together it was as though nothing could break through. Here despite the lurking dangers was a place of sanctuary, sure one had to be careful but that could be applied to just about anywhere. But in the thick forest it was much easier to hide and become the hunter rather than the prey. Walking through the forest but fully aware of her surroundings, Addison made her way farther and farther away from the school. She always came fully prepared though and had taken the initiative to bring a sword. Safe or not she would never let herself go anywhere unarmed, but at least she wasn’t out in the open. Ever since she was a child she had been coming here, sketching the patterns of the leaves and every path that she found. All of it was familiar to her; even if she was blindfolded Addison would probably be able to lead you with sure-footing. With eyes darting every which way, she came to rest at a large tree that sat near a small stream rushing by. Picking up a leaf she watched it fall into the water before being swept away, Addison shuddered move back to the safety of the tree. “How pathetic, I can’t even push myself to sit near a stream.”
It had always been her secret, but Addison in truth was afraid of the water unless of course it was bottled or from a tap. But the thoughts of being submerged had always frightened her without any actual reason. Maybe it was because she had never learned to swim, whatever the reason she would not even brave going out in the rain. On hot summer days when offered to go swimming she would always make up an excuse, not that people ever really asked her to begin with. People here at camp had a tendency to leave her alone, but she didn’t mind. Sitting on the forest floor she pulled from a leather bag she had brought with her, five colored pencils. Selecting a light blue one she began to fill in a map that she had started a few days again. Sitting there under the shade of the tree she felt at ease, until a strong breeze fell upon her. To her dismay one of her pencils rolled down the ground and right into the stream where it slowly sunk to the bottom. “Ah…come on..I didn’t even…great what am I supposed to do now.” Most normal people would reach in and pick it up, but not Addison. “I’ll just have to find a stick…” She warily eyes the water expecting it to engulf her. “a really…long stick.”
