Looks:: Eros is usually depicted as a young winged boy, with his bow and arrows at the ready, to either shoot into the hearts of gods or mortals which would rouse them to desire. His arrows came in two types: golden with dove feathers which aroused love, or leaden arrows which had owl feathers that caused indifference. Eros is further represented with golden wings, and as fluttering about like a bird. His eyes are sometimes covered, so that he acts blindly.
When he is among humans, he takes the form of a very attractive man. Being 6’3, Cupid doesn’t necessarily tower over others, but he’s form gives him the impression that he is more than what he seems. Light brown eyes matches his darker hair, Eros takes after his mother when it comes to being able to manipulate attraction among others.
Personality:: Sappho the poet summarized Eros as being bitter sweet, and cruel to his victims, yet he was also charming and very beautiful. Being unscrupulous, and a danger to those around him, Eros would make as much mischief as he possibly could by wounding the hearts of all, but according to one legend he himself fell in love. This legend tells us that Eros was always at his mother’s side assisting her in all her conniving and godly affairs.
In this stage Eros has nothing to do with uniting the discordant elements of the universe, or the higher sympathy or love which binds human kind together; but he is purely the god of sensual love, who bears sway over the inhabitants of Olympus as well as over men and all living creatures: he tames lions and tigers, breaks the thunderbolts of Zeus, deprives Heracles of his arms, and carries on his sport with the monsters of the sea. His arms, consisting of arrows, which he carries in a golden quiver, and of torches, no one can touch with impunity. His arrows are of different power: some are golden, and kindle love in the heart they wound; others are blunt and heavy with lead, and produce aversion to a lover.
One interesting fact about Eros is that - as confirmed by Hesiod - his powers could influence not just mortals but also other gods. Even the gods were unable to resist the appeal of erotic passion - indeed, judging by some of the stories in Greek mythology they were probably even more susceptible than mortals!
The strength of his power meant that Eros could be a source of much trouble. Sometimes he used his arrows in a playful manner to bring happiness, at others he was at best indifferent to the havoc he caused and at worst distinctly mischievous. He was also quite willing to use his power to gain revenge and the fire of passion he ignited could burn deeply for ill as well as for good.
Eros has tried his hardest to keep peace with his mother, but alas what she wants, and what he wants doesn’t come under the same category. While she does her own thing, Eros tries to keep his distance, just close enough for her to call if she she needs him. The freedom he has gained from the arrows has grown nearly as much as his mother’s affairs. Trying to forget that he has quite a few godly siblings, and now Demi-Gods, Eros bitterness towards Aphrodite’s affairs grows as-well.
Family:: (Mother) Aphrodite, (Twin Brother)Anteros, (Siblings) Deimos, Phobus, Lyrus, & Harmonia
History:: The birth of Eros has been talked about for quite some time, some say that he was created when Aphrodite was born, with his twin brother Anteros. Others say that he was the son of Ares, which explains his brother’s birth aswell. How these two cupid’s were created, is quite unknown, but what is known, Eros and Anteros are never far away from their mother, at any time. The best theory is that: All three were born at the same time.
Now the story goes, Hephaistos was making the Cupids weapons of iron in the forge of Lemnos; Aphrodite was dipping the points in her sweet honey and Eros was adding gall. One day Ares came in from the battlefield brandishing a strong spear and began to make fun of Eros’ weapon. Eros said `This one is heavy: try it and you will see.’ Ares took the javelin, while Kypris smiled quietly; and with a groan he said, `It is heavy: take it back.’ `Keep it,’ said Eros.
The legend tells us that Eros was always at his mother’s side assisting her in all her conniving and godly affairs. Psyche was the daughter of an unknown king. Her beauty was so extraordinary that men would worship her instead of courting her. Aphrodite then, out of jealousy for her beauty, sent Eros to make Psyche fall in love with some unworthy man while an oracle said that Psyche must wed a horrible monster on the top of a mountain. Psyche then was first exposed, and then carried by the wind to a castle. But Eros, instead of obeying Aphrodite, fell in love with Psyche and visited her every night, although never allowing Psyche to see him. However, following the advices dictated by jealousy that her two sisters gave her, Psyche managed to know who her lover was. Eros then deserted her, and when their love was discovered, Psyche suffered the wrath of Aphrodite, who mistreated her in many ways. However, having surpassed several difficulties, the lovers could reunite, and Psyche was reconciled with Aphrodite, and made immortal. Together they had a daughter, Hedone, and Psyche became a goddess. Her name "Psyche" means "soul." Which started: Body & Soul.

If a dare was to ruin the little social status that Sarah had, this was the one. She knew this only moments after being handed a dress and a veil, and pushed into the girls changing room. She took one look at the dress and pulled a face; white wasn’t her colour, having pale skin wasn’t a great thing when people gave you stuff that went with the paleness of her skin. It just looked weird, especially on a half vampire. Sarah had complained about it, saying that it was the one thing that would ruin her, but they would have none of it. For this half vampire, this dare was going to take it’s toll on her.
Sarah picked up the bouquet of white Lilly's and pulled another annoyed face, this had been a added punishment because she had complained about the dare in the first place, causing the stupid flowers to be apart of the show. Giving up on compiling, she let on of the girls place the veil on her head, and ajust it so it was right where it was suppose to be. If it wasn’t for the fact that this was a dare, and the whole school could see her in this, she would have enjoyed herself more in the dress. A wedding dress was fun to be in, but with a whole school having a chance at seeing you in one, really wasn’t fun.
Giving her friends a wave, she exited the common room, with laughter following behind her, as some chose to watch the whole thing from a close standing. Her dare was to wear a white wedding dress with a widow’s veil for the whole day. When you think about it, it couldn’t possible be that bad... right? How wrong can one person be? Knowing that the voice had pretty much jinxed her, Sarah couldn’t believe it, when she had first walked out off the Slytherin dungeons, that she heard a wolf whistle and laughter and side comments as she passed a group of Slytherin guys.
Blushing like fire under her black veil, she quickened her pace and could hear laughter still following her. Her sight wasn’t perfect under the veil, yeah it might have imprinted dots, but it was a pain to see out of. Because of this, she nearly tripped over and walked into the wall she had her hand against, so she would know where she was, and not walk into anyone human.
Taking a quick left at a intersection in the corridor, Sarah pinned her back up against it, breathing hard. She closed her eyes and prayed that they would run passed and not notice her. Hearing the footsteps get louder, her panic rose a little, before it dropped when she heard them take the right corridor.
Steadying her heart rate, Sarah lifted the front of the veil and hung it back over her head, so she could see clearly. Noticing that the corridor was lit well, Sarah knew that someone would have to come down it at some point soon. Because class was going to start soon.
